- can't drive

- don't have a place of my own.

- have poor communication skills which makes confronting/asserting hard as well as reading unwritten social cues.

- now at the unimpressive age of 29. most men want really young girls and most women my age are already married with kids.

- not actively seeking.

- too weird.

- immature. i really have trouble being at the same maturity level as most people my age.

- have interests that're unproductive and lame.

- not pretty just average.

- terrible at chatting or staying "interested".

errrr..... i could keep going on....

i think that having aspergers means you've probably spent a lot of time over analysing your faults to try and solve the problem of just why you don't quite fit in, probably coming at it from multiple angles and probably getting it wrong in most cases. most of what you've listed is just your opinion and it's next to impossible to give an unbiased opinion on yourself, a lot of people seem to overestimate themselves but you seem to be playing it safe by underestimating . It's all too common with aspies, i hope you keep that in mind.

I'm afflicted with that dreadful, chronic disease called aspergers.

I thought of some more:

*I don't want to get married till I'm outta college, most guys like em young

*I am masculine in some of my qualities, for instance, I might be stronger than some guys

*Independent and Needy at the same time

*I'm too much of a show-off, I like performing, most aspies don't....

I don't smile.
I can't read the signs
I'm too quiet.
I'm a bit weird, my ex says people are intimidated by me. If it's true, I don't see it.
I have no confidence.
I'm ugly.
I tend to be cheap.
I'm a bit selfish.
I can be a snob.
I don't like strangers.
I can't chit chat so a casual date ends up being very awkward.
My house is run down and in a not-so-good neighborhood.

Oh yea, I'm a junk collector. Trying hard to change but...

Well I have attempted to post here a couple of times but I ended up deleting everything hopefully this time it will be something that isnt so depressing as before.
Lets see:
-Have trouble when receiving pep-talks because my mother uses them as a starter for the why dont you get a girlfriend question(something like you have a great personality, are a very bright person.....so I wonder why dont you have a girlfrend and then a 20 minute rant about how much my life sucks because I dont have a girlfriend). I know that they are needed at certain times but whenever I think I dont need one which is 99% of the time I´ll tell the other person that I appreciate their effort but its not needed which can hurt other people.

-Have an odd sense of style and isnt ashamed of showing it most of the time.(Currently working on changing this one)

-Have been an spoiled brat for 14 years of my life and have been trying to hard to pretend Im just an average person the last couple of years(If I cant accept myself as I am no one else will, Im aware of that but I still need some time to accept the being forced to play golf/do poshy things since I was 6 and being bullied at school because of this) which has had its up and its downs. Everything is fine until somebody asks for where I live/I get out my visa gold then they start asking questions about my background and i begin to worry about the just being around me for monetary reasons.

-Still trying to find my way through university, Im getting there but Im probably going to be living with my parents for a few years.

-Lack of several skills needed to do something that seems simple to most people. Ive been doing some efforts but i still cant cool down a coffee changing it from glass to glass at constant speed for example. Please reffer to the spoiled brat part,if something was too hot my mother cooled it down.

I think thas enough for a first post on this thread.
