That model ad isn't helping in your argument of healthy weight as non-unrealistic standard....

You hit it right on the head, here. I think a lot of aspie men suffer from "Internet Male Syndrome"; that is, unrealistic standards molded by years of porn consumption. As if a beautiful woman is a priceless work of art to be scrutinized, rather than a human being with thoughts and feelings.
Stop the stupid theories on us, seriously - I am reporting this and putting stop to this misandry here.
A non-overweight woman =/= a pornstar.

So either one extreme or the other?
So if a man doesn't find obesity attractive then he must be after women who look like pornstars only - logic.
You make up plenty of theories yourself people could call stupid as well as tell people they are lying about their personal experiences or feelings related to those experiences. I doubt the mods are going to do anything about you reporting someone for thinking a lot of guys with aspergers might have unrealistic standards.

The issue at hand how is a woman who weights 175 severely morbidly obese compared to a guy who weighs 172 pounds? no one has explained this yet.

Also I don't see where anyone suggested if a guy doesn't find obesity attractive he only goes after women who look like porn stars...you're really good at exaggerating and misrepresenting what people actually say.

As Boo suggested men and women are built differently. There are differences in height, build, muscle mass, bone density, etc.

I'm 6'2. At 172 pounds I'd have a BMI of 22.1. That's not overweight.

Most women are less than 6 foot. The average American woman is 5'4. At 172 pounds she'd have a BMI of 29.6. A far cry from 22.1.
That poster did not mention the womans height, and he himself 5'10 so still under the 6 foot range.
I didn't realise this 175 pound girl was a real person. I thought you were speaking hypothetically. 175 pounds is overweight not morbidly obese.

As for the guy, he's no slim jim himself. He's just 2 pounds away from being overweight. He's also a few inches underheight.

I agree with Boo's point that to say a man is either attracted to any weight or only attracted to pornstars is a false-dichotomy.

Well yes it is, but I don't think anyone suggested that guys are either attracted to any weight or only attracted to pornstars.

Also that is exactly my point a 175 pound female may likely be overweight but he's not exactly far from it himself, so kind of unfair he views someone only two pounds heavier as severely overweight and unhealthy.

Apperantly the woman in the ad above set an "unrealistic body image".

She does not look underweight to me

I wonder if Mayor Sadiq Khan was bribed by McDonald's to get those ads taken down

Because the woman's body in that add is unachivable by most and is heavily posed and photoshopped.

Just look at this woman

Yes. She's nice. I wouldn't call her fat. It's interesting to note that the girl in the ad doesn't keep her arms away from her body or smile. She doesn't need to twist her body to the side or wear black.

As for her body being "unachievable" I see many women with that kind of body in the train station every morning. I also see a lot of women who are a lot slimmer than her.

I assure you that the women I look at in real life have not been photoshopped.

The woman I shared is a fitness instructor so not its not achievable by everyone no matter how hard you work our and everyone has belly fat and rolls.

Not everyone has belly fat and rolls. I know people who don't.

So what if a guy likes expensive car and wants to buy one? And even if he only does to show off, what if he likes to show off? There are people who can afford expensive things without having to sell a liver, you know? There are people out there who can buy a luxury car with less impact on their finances than you when you buy a bicycle. This is what being rich means, if you didn't know.
Having an expensive car doesn't mean that you are not able to administrate your money wisely, altough I will admit that some people spend money they don't have.

Besides, RetroGamer, I could say the same thing about a hot girlfriend, which you very much seek to obtain. Why want a hot girlfriend? Many other men will eventually try to take her away from you. Much safer to get a girlfriend who is not as flashy.

Personally I don't mind adds with exceptionally good looking people. However, I don't think by unrealistic body image they mean her weight alone. Yes, she's not underweight. Probably has a BMI around 18. But her breasts are quite big for a woman her weight - without plastic surgery this wouldn't be possible for a lot of women. Her waist to hip ratio also is not possible for most women (without constantly wearing a corset).
I think people who mind this advertisement, mind that it implies a woman who does not look like this is not 'beach body ready' and shouldn't show herself in a bikini. It's not primarily about her weight.
Also, her ribcage wouldn't be that well visible if she wasn't pulling her arms back (if she would be lying it'd be well visible but not while she's standing). Pulling her arms back possibly makes her belly look even a bit more fatless than it actually is too (albeit she really has hardly any fat there and definitely no fat rolls). In real life people can't always make sure to have a pose that makes them look more attractive. The photo might additionally also have been taken before she had breakfast/anything to eat that day. How much food is in the intestine can make a noticeable difference in looks but in real life women don't want to make sure they haven't eaten anything yet before showing themselves in a bikini.
While it has nothing to do with beach body it'd also be impossible to constantly have that perfect hair without combing it like every two hours and she happens to have perfect skin (or make-up or photoshop) and her body is perfectly hairless. Most women don't have the time to constantly take that much care of their looks.

You see many women her weight in the train station but you do not see many women with a body like hers. That she's slim probably is a lot more important for how attractive a woman is for you than the size of her breasts or her waist to hip ratio but what the media considers a perfect body is not just a perfect BMI.

One's body is beach ready as long he/she can float on the water.

Unusual for a thin woman to have big boobs but not unheard of. Personally, I wouldn't be bothered by dating a girl with small or medium breasts. I'm not one to demand big bazoombas.
NorthWind wrote:

I think small breasted women should be happy with what they have rather than messing with nature.

What's so unrealistic about that? Anyone can stand with their arms back. Just like for the majority of people their ribs will be visible if they raise their arms above their head (except for the very obese). You can do it and so can I. It's not unrealistic if it exists in reality.
NorthWind wrote:

That is true but I don't think it's nessessary for women to have potruding ribs to be attractive.

False. I know a few women who do just that in real life.

Yes of course but it's an ad. People have perfect hair in every sort of ad. Even the girl in the ad for Bic pens will have perfect hair and perfect make-up. I don't expect ads to be realistic.

As I said, I'm not worried about breast size. Big or small, I like them all.

As for the perfect body, the perfect body is not achievable by all women but it's supposed to be the idea, not the goal for 100% of women.

Some women may not have the genetics to get that slim no matter what they eat. I'm not expecting all women to get that thin, if I date a woman that thin it might mean that she has the genes to be that thin, not the dieting. What's wrong with selecting a girl based on the practical outcome of their genes (note, I'm not condoning eugenics). Not all women can get thin but I can choose one of those who can.

As for the chubby women, I don't mind them so much. It's the obese ones that repel me. I wouldn't mind dating a 175 pound girl but I also wouldn't consider her to be the ideal. I'm realistic. I know that I may not date the ideal. That's fine.

Some women don't have the genes to get below 175 pounds and that's ok. I don't expect the endomorph 175 pound girl to get down to 100 pounds. It's the 300 pound girls that bother me. I know the 175 pound girl probably can't get down to 100 pounds but the 300 pound girl can almost certainly get down to 175 pounds.

She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to but she can't demand I find her attractive.

Of course a guy can buy an expensive car if he wants to. It's his money. I was saying how a girl can best assess a guy's wealth, not how a guy should spend his wealth. A guy can buy an expensive car if he wants to but not all girls will be attracted by that. Some girls might like the guy with the fat stock portfolio and some girls might not care about a guy's wealth at all!
You talk like a guy with an expensive car most likely hasn't much money in his wallet. I swear, that is some funny stuff! :lmao:
You talk like girls only care about how much money a guy has in his wallet. I don't think girls are that shallow.

Please show me where I wrote that! I don't think they only care about that, but I will say that for a great number of them it's very attractive. :P
