Go work for a non-profit, aiding in Ukraine. Women over there are hot. Seems the main armed conflict will be over in a few days. Humanitarian organizations will swoop in.

Literally anything other than complaining on the forum will help you more.

I don't know if this will help but I am being honest here, and in my experience, dating actually got easier for me when I was got older. Before my current relationship, I got more dates my least few years than before, and based on my experience, it's because women in their late 30s or older, take dating a lot more seriously all of a sudden, and want to settle down. Perhaps they realize the clock is running out so they take it more seriously because of that.

But this is just my experience so far, in that women settle down more when older and it's easier then.

What age do you mean by "when you got older"? You are two years younger than me, and dating still has not gotten any easier for me.

At least in my area, women all already have children by their mid to late 20s. So they are not likely to be concerned with their biological clocks.

Most likely this is true, yes.

Alternatively, it might be a good idea for dorkseid, and others in a similar situation, to look for the relatively few women who might not be put off by at least some of those other things about himself.

Or perhaps some combination of self-improvement (on some issues) and seeking acceptance (on other issues).

That's why it may be helpful to get involved in an organized subculture that extends beyond your local area -- and preferably an organized subculture that contains a disproportionate number of single young women.

Well the bottom line is that whatever that barrier is its there.

The problem with the few women who wouldn't be turned off by it is that they are unlikely to still be single. And there's no guarantee I'll be attracted to her. When the pool of viable potential partners is only 2 or 3 women, the odds of mutual attraction and chemistry with one of them are beyond astronomical.

And even if I could fix whatever barrier is stopping women from dating me, I'm already too old for that to help at this point.

How so? You might be too old to date women in their 20s but that's not the same as being too old to date.

I sure hope it ends soon! We shall see....

But yes, if and when it ever does end ...

Agreed. Letting off steam here occasionally can be helpful, but endless complaining about just one thing, thread after thread after thread, is probably not doing any good.

To dorkseid: One way your endless complaining may have harmed you is that it has probably ruined whatever chances you might have had of finding a compatible woman here on Wrong Planet. Yes, some hetero couples have indeed formed here, although it doesn't happen often (and, of course, WP should not be treated as a dating service).

Yes, dorkseid, and here is one of those reasons (hopefully not the only reason):

You are an autistic special ed teacher. Thus you are in an excellent position to do a lot of good for a lot of children. You will likely have insights that NT teachers don't have.

(Of course, there's the problem of how to win respect for your insights. Hopefully that problem will be solved by a hopefully-forthcoming association of neurodivergent special ed teachers. Such an org does not exist yet, but hopefully will be created by SOMEONE soon....)

I'm just going by my own experience, and the single women I have met I know. That is all I can go by personally.

we should not even hint at any begrudging of the OP's right to complain about his circumstance, isn't that what WP is supposed to be for? what is so hard about just non-judgmentally listening to him, what does it cost any of us but a little time, is all? there but for the grace of god go any of us.

^ Just pointing out the fact that the time he spends here is time he isn't spending with a woman.

It's not like he has the option to spend time with a woman who's romantically interested in him, but he's choosing to come here instead.

There never was a chance of finding anyone here. Aside from just the fact that women never want to date me in the first place, there is nobody on here who is single, in my age range, and in my geographic location.
