Thats right, but you could say the same for us men, such as when women compete to get the richest men. Just like how men don't give fat women a chance, couldnt the same be said about women not giving a chance to men who arent rich or dont have the best social skills?

Once my dad got his masters in business from Stanford, so many more women wanted to go out with him, and nothing about his personality or appearance had changed. Women can be just as judgemental. People are judgemental, whether your a man or a girl.

I have to agree with the idea of this statement but not the statement itself. Women can be just as bad as men, so dont make us all sound like devils.

Yeah men and women are just as bad at judging, they just judge the opposite sex in different ways. I probobly would be better with women than i think i am. I just get super nervous and am so afraid of rejection that i dont approach the girl.

I guess so. Why can't people just be themselves? It would be so much easier on everybody. D:

Because the PUA stuff gets girls to like the guy more.

but they aren't liking the real guy. they are liking the illusion.

Exactly. You're lying to them by telling them that you're something that you're not.

Its mostly about attracting quality women, the PUA stuff says quality women lose interest easily because they have so many guys chasing them, that you have to act crazy and in total control to keep their interests.

And what do you mean by "quality women" ?

Hot ones, the ones that all guys are like "damn shes fine" as she walks by. The ones with curves in the right places and a very pretty face.

A female's quality is judged on her appearance, as a mans quality is on his social skills and his wealth and popularity.

That's what I thought you meant. Thank you for grading women as if we were meat in a supermarket. Yes, as a woman my only role in life is to be pretty, as a man would NEVER consider personality or intelligence when selecting a mate. I guess I'm a low quality woman as I'm not stereotypically "hot." If you can't see the sarcastic venom dripping from this post, I would suggest getting your eyes checked.

Personality does matter, as long as you look alright. But if you look horrible as a woman you wont be given a chance to show that. But looking good is probably easier than having to be socially skilled, confident, and rich, which is what men have to do.

what MXH was saying is that not EVERYBODY is that judgmental.

just because an equal number of men and women do it, to an equal degree, doesn't make in universal. many people judge very little, or don't judge at all.

no, it isn't easier, and don't start trying to compare like that. it is equally hard for both genders.

Lying about who you are to manipulate women for sex. :/

Trojan51 - Wow, who done you wrong to make you believe that everyone is a judgmental heartless fiend? I'll have you know that guys have been showing interest in me, even at my current weight. Even if it is only on OkCupid, that's something as they can see my photos. People have different criteria for what they want in a partner (reference the "ideal man/woman" thread). Some guys, like one of the guys I'm talking to, prefer thicker women. Yeah, who woulda thunk? And looking good isn't always easier. Some women have bad genes, it's not like they can get those features fixed without having lots of money for cosmetic surgery. Some get medical conditions that affect their appearance. I've know a girl who lost all her hair from cancer and she still looks sexy as hell because she's confident with a gorgeous personality. If appearance is a deal-breaker for you, then you're missing out on awesome people.

No, I mean what's this group all about? I've only heard of it recently. I was after a neutral answer not a sarcastic one.

This isn't too unbiased to say really.

Um...making men more confident and telling them what women want to hear and stuff like that. I think. I think links to PUA groups were posted somewhere in the thread although I don't remember where. >.<

Some guys try for the obese ones as they perceive them to be an easy lay when the guy is desperate or doesnt want a challenge and just wants easy sex. Oh i know some guys like thicker women, but id say the majority wont since obese women do find it harder to find dates. And i dont like the stereotypical skinny woman either. I prefer the kinds more like the Kardashians, who are a little curvy but not overweight. I like women with a similar BMI to me. And you do say how you want to be thin, i assume that is because you would believe yourself to be more desirable. And if the guys show interest you should go on dates with them.

Yes Trojan because I'm such a worthless woman that I should automatically go out with anyone who asks me to, even if they're emotionally abusive. Do you realize how stupid that sounds? Of course not because to you, appearance is all that matters. I pity you, I really do.

EDIT: And there are many reasons why I want to be thinner. I get to wear cuter clothes, I'd be healthier, I'd look better in photos, etc. Being stereotypically attractive is kind of a perk of it. I don't want to be stick thin, just have a narrower waistline. I like my curves dammit. >.<
