well, i have zero sympathy for you, because in another thread you said you would never date a black woman or a hindu or muslim person. maybe if you were more open-minded, threads like this wouldn't be so depressing...

Well, she's right.

Craziest thing I've ever done? Told them I liked them. Boy was that a mistake. :(

I haven't gotten a positive response from this either. That's okay, though.

*sigh* Even if they said yes, they treated me so horribly afterward that they might as well have said no. At least the other guys were more honest from the get-go.

I have written some pretty pedantic letters in my time...
One time there was a guy I had a crush on and I made a tape of my favorite album and did a complete mock-up of the album as in..I drew the album cover and all the liner notes by hand..

The worst thing I did was tell a certain guy I had a crush on that I liked him...the big disaster was him telling me he liked me back...that was just awful.... :x

When I was in 6th grade...really the only time I actually knew how to talk to girls (probably because I didn't hit puberty yet) I gave this girl I liked a bracelet on her birthday even though she had a boyfriend and he was right in front of her I asked her to be my girlfriend...she obviously rejected me but hugged me and thanked me for the gift...maybe that was the turning point

Years back, I read a 300 page book she was talking about on a Monday and talked about it extensively on Tuesday. In hindsight I think I talked too much about it.

Considering all the times I've been humiliated just in the course of trying to give a kiss, or giving a nice little gift, I've never bothered with something terribly crazy. They all just wind up rejecting me in the end.

My goal is instead to be so successful in my work that I won't have to do anything crazy. The GIRL will have to do something crazy, and even then, I may still reject her...

I have never done any crazy things for girls, in the past, who I had crushes on.

I can't think of anything crazy. Drive her to places, pick her up, flowers, exotic chocolate, stuffed animals, hang out, new restaurants, surprise getaways...

The one thing that stands out was one hike in the mountains. I led us down a new (to me) trail and it turned out to be unmaintained and completely overgrown with bushes, thorns, poison oak. UGH! And it was really muddy. I did the matcho thing and forged ahead instead of turning around like I should have. I cleared a path for her to walk through. My clothes had to be washed twice that evening, and I threw away the socks and the boots. Girl was fine. :)
