add in a few giant roaring furnaces in the background, and that could almost pass for one of Hitler's speeches about racial purity
Honestly though, that sounds pretty racist.
What happens when one race breeds with itself too long? Inbred genetic defects, that's what.
Mixing races helps keeps the genes diverse and fresh.
Otherwise we might end up like that one Amish community i read about that developed a tendency towards webbed feet in their community's genetics because there simply wasn't enough mixing.
Or the royal families of Europe for example are all related and because of all the royal inbreeding have developed tendencies towards deadly genetic problems like hemophilia.
what can happen to a community can also happen to a race over time.
why do you think the races look so different? different colored skin types, facial features, etc? it's merely the result of large scale inbreeding cultivating those particular traits in that particular "race" over the thousands of years that their "race" lived in relative isolation from other groups of people.
Long story short, mixing races is better in the long run and will strengthen our genetics and keep them from becoming stagnant and help keep genetic problems from becoming growing trends in any one genetically similar population.
QFT! Excellently expressed!

Not too good
i got a call from her very early yesterday morning 'cause i guess a text i sent inadvertantly woke her up but it was largely incoherent 'cause she was so tired.
Having a hard time making contact lately 'cause she's still very ill even though they've removed the tumor mass from her stomach. I haven't even heard if she appears to be getting better or not...
I sent her mom a letter in the mail to try to get ahold of her mom that way so i can figure out what's happening

Hang on, Sean, we have to hope. I'll pray that she gets better, and that you may still have lots of time to be happy together, preferably twenty years or more! I'll keep following your site, just make sure to keep updating it!

thanks
yeah, i put in an update this morning i think.
But since i'm not getting much new info lately there's not much to update.
hopefully i'll be able to get through to her mom soon though
on the upside, i'm more than halfway towards being able to visit her as far as funds go
Also, i never took into account food costs for during the trip. or the smaller travel expenses like getting to and from the airports. The only thing i've thus far tried to raise money for is the biggest obstacle; the air plane ticket fare. I can go without some of the smaller expenses if need be and try to make due, but i'm rather hoping there will be some small amount of excess in case some unforeseen situation comes up with one of those.

Sounds like you should just give her space. Actually, the way she is acting, I would freeze her out for a while, instead of chasing her. But that's just me.

IMO, it is just you. His girlfriend has CANCER, for God's sake. Plus, she has just gone through major surgery. She's not just playing head games!

I missed that part (I'm coming in late and didn't read the whole thread -- I actually WORK for a living and can't read every single post) -- is it actually cancer, or a benign non-cancerous tumor? Because not all tumors are cancerous, and that's how I read it. I didn't assume it was cancer.
Cancer or not, her BF is trying to be supportive and she's shutting him out.
So yeah, at the minimum, give her space, but I thought sick people wanted emotional support and to be loved? Maybe I'm just projecting in cases where I tried to be nice and supportive to someone who I thought also cared for me back, but really they found me a nuisance and wanted me out of their life.

I sort of figured you hadn't read the entire post. I have known people with cancer, and they usually are feeling pretty ill and not very sociable. Especially after major surgery.

Well I am part Native American don't think it is really that apparent in my appearance, except full native americans I've talked to usually do somehow notice. But yeah my boyfriend has no native ethnicity...aside from that we both have like the same European ethnicity predominately nordic and germanic. To the person taking a glance we wouldn't be interracial, if someone comes and analysis then maybe they could gather I have a bit of native.
