I hate to say it, but dating/girlfriends and the like are too advanced for Aspies. One huge reason for this is because genuineness and sincerity isn't welcome. The liars get ahead.

Wait a minute I can readily buy that instead of crying on the Internet for it.

In "unpaid" relationships, the a**holes get ahead. Also erisad's comment about guys having to put lots of effort into relationships is true.

The corollary to that is as guys put more into a relationship they get less out of it.

My experiences tell a different story. Girls appreciate a genuinely nice guy, or at least they do once they've learned what the jerks are like.

Well I'm glad you've had good experiences. Most guys on here have been ignored or ridiculed by the opposite sex. If it weren't for facebook, I'd never even have been on a date or met a real life girlfriend.

Women have to put effort into the relationship too ya know. It takes two to tango and make babies. So it's totally false that all the effort is one-sided. :/
