I think AspieGuy is just making this poll so we can "prove" his point; that women only want men with money, good looks, or high status (even though we weren't given any other options). I'll go with guy 4

Where are all these folks that like #4 (or a slight variation thereof) coming from? Because if people like that existed in my life, I wouldnt be having all the problems that I'm having...

Or is it because I'm not thin?

Honestly, I think they are claiming they like #4 because they don't have the qaulities to attract a jacked and/or good looking guy. Plus, it's socially un-acceptable to claim that looks/money matters. The reality is that they do in ADDITION to personaility.

That's what all women say when muscles/money doesn't matter.

hmmm good question. i based it partially on my husband and he happens to be thin. but i wouldn't have eliminated other men based on their weight.

but... even though he was social phobic he still went out with people quite a bit. so his chances were increased according to that.

he still attracts quite a lot of women in his current persona (classy salesman), because women are endeared to his kindness, thoughtfulness, and self-effacing personality (and his scatterbrained quality. women like to take care of him).

not really true. i've dated a bodybuilder, a football player, a punk rock musician, a well-off electrician, a man who did some modelling (it was as a side job only), etc... but i preferred guys like #4.

if it makes you feel better to think that we are somehow deficient and that's why we like guys who are "different", you need to know you are deluded.

Your right....

However, I find I need a bachelors degree and a decent job to stop feeling like such an insecure idiot.

Nah. My last boyfriend (before my husband) was good looking, into bodybuilding and completely loaded.

And selfish and controlling and uncaring. We were together for 4 years before I decided enough was enough.

My husband is very much #4, but don't take my word for it. He lurks around this forum too. Goes by the name Woodpecker. Ask him yourself if you don't believe me.

My husband met me (his first and only girlfriend) at dance classes. He joined an adults evening class to learn latin american and ballroom dancing. 6 months later I joined the same class. The thing is, at dance classes there are normally more females than males so it's a good place to increase your chances of meeting someone you get one with.

As a reply to emilion in the other thread:

Nope, I don't care whether I am rejected here or not. I am totally indifferent.
