I've banned jabcreations for his homophobic and racist posts.

Grisha, I don't know if that is fair to the rest of us here, especially those here in the States -- this may not be common where you live (or even necessarily where I live), but in many parts of the United States, many people, male and female, Democrat and Republican, own firearms. They are legitimate tools of self-defense, hunting, and recreation. Gun ownership is very common in most parts of the U.S.

Owning guns does not equal being a racist or a whacko. Racists and whackos own guns for the same reason the rest of us do. It just may happen that more racist and whackoes live in areas that are more rural/redneck.

It is a bit of a tangent. I think jabcreations may have spent some time institutionalized so I doubt he has any legal firearms anyway. Reading his posts all I could think of is some form of mild schizophrenia.

Personally, I find Latin women to be most attractive in general, I guess this also have to do with culture. When it comes to the United States, I have the impression that the country is very segregated, so I assume that people in general tend to interact with people within their own group and thereby the chances for interracial marriage decreases.

Depends on where in the US you are. We are not nearly the homogeneous society of say, Norway. :)

Sorry, I had absolutely no intention of denigrating firearms owners/ownership in general, I just thought that the probability that a nutjob like that was heavily armed was disturbing. Any implied offense to "normal" gun owners was completely unintended.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread...

I have not found that racist stereotype to be true of black women in general here in the US, and I've interacted with many. Maybe you're just treating them like sh**.

I'm white, yet I prefer black women, although I've never had the opportunity to actually date one.

Yes, just as white people from differant countries are differant, the same with Black people from differant countries, when I was in Germany I commented to my Brother-in law how humble and polite the Black people over there where, he said, yes, they never have any trouble with Blacks, its the Turkish they have trouble with.

I interact with lots of Black women here, I dont treat anyone like sh**, they interact with me more than the white women, who are too high and mighty to bother much with me, what I say though about the Black women we have in our part of the world, still stands in that whilst I like them as friends, I do not find them attractive as somebody I would like to be married too.
I like a quite life, I dont like the thought of being bossed around in my own home.
From what I gather, Black women are quite strong in the family unit, running the household, its a cultural differance that doesnt appeal to me.
I dont see how this is racial stereo-typing, differant cultures are differant from each other, whats wrong with that?
Meditarianians too, whilst I think they are beautifull, they are much to fiery for my taste.

Agreed, because the rant certainly was paranoid and long.

Grisha, no problem, I know your intentions were good -- just wanted to be sure other readers didn't start to stereotype gun owners....

I don't think he's schizophrenic... I'm pretty sure he's just stupid as hell.

I sometimes try and make excuses for other's behavior. I'm not sure why.

Someone having an opinion other than your own, even an extreme/unpopular one, doesn't make you stupid.

Also, considering that he composed a fairly long and somewhat coherent post (yet whacky, racist, and crazy) also points to someone who is at least smart enough to do that and draw on various sources.

I think he probably is some kind of extremist (which also does not make you automatically stupid), or mentally ill -- schizophrenics and the like tend to have very elaborate, paranoid rants that in some way may have some coherence, albeit from a diseased mind.

I don't think anyone was making excuses -- let's not confuse racism with stupidity, they are not the same. There have been plenty of racist, or sexist, or whatever-ist people with high IQs.

Stupidity = low IQ
Foolish = poor judgment -- maybe you mean this instead for the person in question.

Face it, white women are very beautiful. Even Tiger Woods knows this:

Culture i'm guessing.

There are some nationalities I probably won't date, but there isn't a race I won't date. I'm generally attracted to people (no matter what race) who were born in or grew up most of their life in an English speaking country.

Mainly UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

I did marry a white guy (I'm white) but it wasn't my preference to marry a white guy. It was my preference to marry him. I don't know why there are people who put race-restrictions on their love life. I wouldn't want to limit myself like that. I could miss the love of my life that way.

I don´t think the woman pictured above is particularly beautiful, she is quite ordinary. Not the sort of woman I would notice in the streets.

I agree with you Nambo, I agree you are talking about different cultures. I don't think you are racist, but technically it is a stereotype. I dated a black guy who was not loud. He was calm and cool with a smooth voice. He was such a text book "man", physically strong and could fix anything, emotionally strong and didn't get worked up. Although his family and friends were loud and rowdy. Their culture is to have a close family unit. I felt out of place and usually stayed quiet around his family because they were loud and laughed and took jabs at each other. Culture definitely comes into play in relationships. I would love to be on a remote island with him, though he probably would have been miserable. He was much more social than me.
