No, I dont think they are lording it over us. I think there is a certain feeling of security people in relationships have that can be mistaken for smugness. Sometimes, it can be actual smugness I guess. But when you are single, what does it matter what people in relationships think of your single state anyway?
It is hard seeing people with their flowers etc and not being included. That is what sucks about it. But, we will survive it, unless we get hit by a falling piano while out that day.
