Of all your AS traits, which one seems to give you the most problems when it comes to dating? MAybe the forum can help you with that. I mean i know that it probably isn't just one thing, but where would you start?

That's easy: I don't/can't/rarely smile - it's no more complicated than that.

Do you not find reason to smile? Or is it when you do find reason, your face doesn't work that way?

It's weird, It's like my facial muscles simply don't reflect my inner state very well. I've been this way my whole life. I smile a little naturally, but usually I have to fake it and I am very self-conscious about it - I imagine it looks completely ridiculous...

I refer to myself as "Agnostic" or "Secular" in polite company, and I can credibly call myself a Christian except for the fact that I don't believe in the supernatural. Militant atheists that you refer to are intolerant a**holes - I have nothing to do with them...

This being the case, I would never put "atheist" on your profile. Agnostic will get more interest. It's unfortunate, but the a**holes you refer to have pretty much ruined the good name of the more normal atheists the same way Bin Laden and such ruined the good name of Islam, and the Pat Robertson's of the world ruin the good name of evangelical Christianity. The loudest, most extreme people create division by demonizing any opponents, separating the groups into us vs. them camps. They do this to increase their own personal power. In this way, a militant atheist is not markedly different from a militant Islamist, or a militant Christian. When you imagine someone that identifies themself as a Southerner, you probably see a redneck with bad teeth in bare feet marrying their cousin, or perhaps some less extreme variation of that theme. Of course not all Southerners are like this, but those people tend to stick out and get attention so we all get lumped together :P
