I know what you mean. It's all pretty "meh".

I know.... although when you referred to yourself as a hippo after having given birth, I did thin that was kind of funny. Hope that did not offned :-)

Not offended at all. I did that to set up the feeling of disgust that I had for myself so you realize what a shock it was for someone to have actually found me more attractive fat than thin. And, it took me having self-acceptance to lose the weight. I had to buy clothes that fit and looked good on me at that size. I had to feel better about myself when I looked in the mirror. Then, when I felt better about myself, I was no longer "weighed down" (forgive the pun) and exercising became easier and results came quickly. It still wasn't effortless or overnight, but I don't think it would've happened at all if I hadn't taken the time to accept myself as I was.

I don't think the fatphobia, jokes and stigmatizing help anyone. I think it just adds to the problem.

I AM attracted to her. (I just wish I wasn't conditioned to think that only slim women are attractive.) And she is "full figured", now what I would consider just "overweight" - nice set of boobs to go along with everything, if I may say that.

I get like goosebumps when I look at her. Skin feels all sensitive. It's a sign, I think, that I find her attractive.

Well I don't give a s**t about weight - I don't even know how much I weigh myself. I'm attracted to thin women though but not fat women. I'm also attracted to white women more than black women. And women, not men. It's just preferences. Some guys like bigger girls. I like slim women.

I use "weight" because I don't like the word "fat".

Go for it and enjoy. Life to short to worry about the prejudice of others.

As far as the messages go, there's no romance yet. But I find her attractive.

Agree completely, I like women to be about 5'7" and with alot of lean muscle, so slim but have some meat.

A few pounds overweight is no big deal.

But there are so many obese people these days then how do you know that they won't weigh 400 pounds and have a butt like the back of a bus within a few years?

The same way you know someone on the thin side won't be 80 lbs in a few years.

Oh, and as someone who's been with bigger men,
TOTALLY disagree that it can't be quite uncomfortable for a woman to be on bottom with one-
I've seriously had to call a timeout before because I couldn't breathe.

I am simply not attracted to overweight/obese people, I wish I didn't have this problem because they are a substantial majority of people these days.

I need someone who weighs less than me or is at least not too much more or I have to "friend-zone" them.

I am not proud of this. :(

True. Although I've noticed, depending on the region (of the US), that reality isn't true for some people.

I saw a question the other day: "Where are all the supposed fat people? Are 3/4 of the people you see overweight? I don't think so."

I was like...um, I do. Never been to the south or the midwest, I'm guessing?

As warped as it may sound, my perception of society is formed largely by the crowds at Disneyland, which is really the only time I am around large numbers of people with idle time to "people watch".

Here is a completely random photo of a crowd - how many people in this photo would you say are at least "overweight"? I would say most of them - and it's actually a pretty small sample.

Oh, and my daughter is NOT drunk...

I would say your perception is spot-on, based only on this photo,
though the demographics of people who
WANT to frequent Disneyland
live near enough TO frequent it
can AFFORD to
undoubtedly come into play.

I love people-watching. I wear sunglasses so I don't look like a weirdo. 8)

Definitely not a random cross-sample, but you can see why I think that there's a major trend towards higher weights going on...

Also, since when did Disneyland get such an elitist reputation?
