Umm, another update...
HE EMAILED ME, OMG!! !
He NOW says that he was only going to confront his ex and get a metaphorical thorn out of his side, and then stick around in her home town (Boston) to do some touristy stuff for a month. But he still hasn't elaborated upon whether he was planning to take up accommodation at his ex's house for the month or not (I'd assume given she's probably still bitter towards him that he wouldn't be welcome to but who knows).
And his trip to the US is off altogether now since he had to spend all his savings on his car which turned out to be a lemon needing lots of repairs. *laughs and points*
