Girlfriends are for long term relationships, the people you might want to marry later on and have children with and wake up seeing their face every day of your life.

I've had FWB relationships that I tried to carry further, and they lost interest in me instead, and it wounded our friendship. Of course, having minor internet meltdowns over it didnt help. I'm just starting to gain the emotional security to go from friend, to f**kbuddy, and back to friend without any loss of friendship. Some hard lessons learned.

Sex friend is an interesting way of saying f**k buddy.

I had a few when I was 17 and 18 years old. It was very nice, but if I suddenly found myself single I wouldn't go back to it. A friend with benefits is much more appealing to me.

Sounds to me like being solidly friends first makes the benefits that much sweeter. Good advice!

It's such a strange but really attractive concept. It would be great being able to actually express my sexuality instead of repressing it with a seemingly eternal celibacy. I would ofc prefer finding someone to be romantically involved with aswell, but i'm finding the lack of physical intimacy to be the most draining on my psyche.
But what I just can't get my head around is how it happens? How does 2 friends suddenly become friends with benefits, or how do people become f**k buddies? I literally can't wrap my head around how such a change in interpersonal relations would occur >.< Enlighten me, oh u lucky lot with an active sexuality lol

LOL Maybe there should be a thread on here were Aspies can sign up for a big Aspie orgy or a thread to find Aspie sex friends. Oh God, hahaha! Just Kidding! (But am I kidding? Hmm, could be a good idea but I'm not sure this would be allowed as the forum is 'family friendly') :twisted: :wink:

I think also there is a geographical issue. There are plenty of willing parties around but big expanses of sea between them.
