Oh and seriously I'll buy this or a copy from you. I understand you probably want to keep your original works. And I know you're not a decorator but you a) have make money somehow and b) deserve something huge in return for this. Not to make this into a mercenary thing but I am indebted to you, that painting is something else!

Fatal-Noogie, this is ABSOLUTELY f***ing AMAZING! I am so so so so so so so SO happy that you did this! No extra artistry required, this is a masterpiece! No one's ever painted a p[icture of me before! I feel so sspecial! And no I'm not just saying this cause it's of me but you are an amazing and one-of-a-kind artist! Did you make this its own thread cause if not I wantto make one! Or do you have a thread of your work on herealready? You are a genius! This has cheered me up like nothing I could have imagined! This is inspiring!
Then the brush has power after all.

Once I fill in the background I'll mail it to you. You can pay me what you think is fair. We'll arrange shipping details in pm's.

I don't have a thread here on my art, except one on a negative watercolor technique I'm trying to develop and needed stock for.

Since you asked, I'll elaborate:
I plan to get a job as a technical illustrator for money, and paint for fun.
Some call it tacky, others call it selfish, but I consider it my duty to develop these skills, for the benefit of myself and others.
My primary motive at this stage in life, is to practice regularly to improve.
I will accept your money, but I could not paint well if profit motive was always involved.
I need freedom to interpret my subjects in ways that might be controversial.
(some snoots are offended by undead heartless corpse caricatures  )

I'm glad I could make you feel better. I'm gonna tune-out for the night.

Was this that guy you had a crush and we went into a whole spiel about how to make yourself more attractive?

Feel better. Guys are replaceable.

Seconded about the so cool! I cannot even describe how amazing it is seeing a picture that accurately resembles me not just physically but soul-wise. Fatal-noogie is truly talented, he did this from one not-very-informative picture of me.

... um ... sure. Why not?
With purchase, I had 3 things to go buy: a name/alias, a face, and a context (heartbreak).
For you I only know your name/alias right now, so I'll need more criteria.

Also, I promised some paintings for others first, so you may need to wait a week.

Update, click here ——————> http://fatal-noogie.deviantart.com/art/ ... -244311939 <————————

I went all-out surreal for the background.
Black Gouache is just marvelous to work with.
You can't really see the texture (cuz the photo's blurry), but if you could you'd want to kiss the page.

So the way I interpret it: When we're heartbroken, we're not the ones in darkness.
We feel like we're humiliated and scrutinized in a dark hostile world,
looked down upon by those who have the luxury of being anonymous.

I don't want to hijack the thread.
purchase needs to tell me how close I am to the mark.
How is your recovery going by the way?

This is spectacular beyond belief. It gets right to the heart of things. I don't know if that pun was intended or not but it does. Should I make it its own thread? I'm PM you more about this also.

Well... it's a bit tough overall

My sister once told me about a random number generator I think at Fermilab and how the numbers got improbably non-random at the times of two major horrible world events:

9/11

and another one, maybe the 2004?5? tsunami.

Anyway the article she read postulated it was because there are wavelengths of good and bad that fluctuate worldwide somehow

This all sounds very metaphysical/nonsciency I know but I'm just feeling like now is one of the lower times if such a thing exists.

It's not a foreboding feeling by the way, just a "this has already happened and is happening and...

I'm probably just very depressed :)

I wish I could help you better, I'm in the situation myself.

I try to do things to distract me, like going out with friends, talking to people about it. Reading other people's stories.

Listening to 'I will survive' might help :P

It's also good to just cry about it and think about it at times.

I also think that going out and meeting new people will help, and you never know, maybe you'll meet someone special again.

It's been three weeks now since my boyfriend broke up with me and it's still hard at times, but I'm doing a lot better than three weeks ago.
