I think the emotional overload would knock me unconscious if I snogged somebody, at least the first time. Holding hands with a female friend, just so we could do some ballroom dancing together, was extremely embarrassing and overly strong in the sensation/emotion department. I didn't want to do it, because it crossed so many ingrained boundaries, and it was a few weeks before I got used to it.
This is kind of funny. It reminded me of the first time I kissed a girl, when I was 20. It was in a bar, lights were flashing, music was playing, and I was drunk. I was dancing with this girl, and at one point during the dance, we started making out. I don't know how I managed to do it right, because
I felt a surge of lightning rush through my body, my knees were so weak that I had to tense up my leg muscles to steady myself, and my whole post-puberty life flashed before me. The kiss ended about 30 seconds later. We kept dancing and made out a few more times. Then she went to find her friends, leaving me standing shellshocked in the middle of a crowded dance floor.
Precisely. It was like intense, but painless electric shocks in my hands. That and having to stand quite so close to them... it felt wrong on every level.
