It's too easy to say that from an outsiders point of view, some of them were already friends, others claimed to be wanting a relationship only to then go back on their words afterwards. If a guy doesn't want to know a girl after sleeping with them, you'd be calling that guy a user or a player or a scumbag (or some other derogatory comment) yet if it's the other way around you are basically saying it's the guys fault for not getting to know the girl well enough and she is blameless?

Sorry but I'm not buying that.

I would give the same advise to a woman, the reason I recommend getting to know them better was so you could tell if they were a user or a jerk.

you dont have to take my advice, but I would appreciate you not taking such a accusatory tone with me when all Ive done is try and help.

raven has good advice. I think people take the time to get to know each other before they do anything else is because we're all really paranoid of one another's intentions when it comes to love and dating

But I've stopped approaching women at coffee shops ect. because every time I do I get the same un interested response, and it makes me feel even worse about myself

If you're looking for girls who aren't rednecks then PoF is about the last site you'll want to be on. At least in my area the majority seem to be white trash on PoF. I had an account for awhile and would get a decent amount of messages though most got ignored for how redneck the women were.

*bites lip* I used okcupid for a while...I stopped though...I'm either really bad at dating or really gullible, but I would meet these guys, we'd talk for a long time -online, on the phone, etc- then I'd meet them in person...they'd tell me how "seeing me in person just added to the connection they already felt for me" or something of the sort... and then we end up being intimate ...because they tell me they are interested in a relationship, they really care about me, etc. I'm fine with having sex on a first date if I believe it will lead to many many more to come.... but then they all leave me high and dry. It's probably just me though.

It's weird to me because I started off dating in general with a long distance relationship with a guy in England. It was two years before we ever got the chance to meet in person. So for me, I pay close attention to how I feel about someone before I ever meet them in person...I really liked these guys, I thought we had alot in common, we got along amazingly in person...for me that translates into = happy, productive relationship.

I think my translator microbes are broken.

EDITADD: *snerks* That last line made me think of Farscape >_<

I noticed that none of the people on POF seemed real. They were either models with the shortest most insipid profiles. Or complete tomboy white trash talking about how they liked fishing, beer, four wheel driving, and all guy stuff that it just seemed fabricated and fictitious. It was especially apparent as just about every profile had the same content, with little variation in writing style.

It must be worse in my areas because a lot of the rednecks were trying to act ghetto. They bragged about being country but kept using gangster slang. Makes me want to move for away from here

I haven't used POF in a couple years. Most of the messages I got on there were from horny gay guys, guys who liked what I posted about on the forum or from older women who were only looking for friendship with me; they thought I was a nice sweet guy
