But the artificial one can't die as it was never alive in the first place.

Sorry for pissing on your chips.

Well you just found out the hidden exist.

When you break up with her, you can expose this truth.

It came to mind almost immediately; I like your thinking, Boo - though I suspect it might be better for use by serial cheaters. ;)

Or just give her a silver spoon.

She'll ask you what's for. Tell her so she can stir your emotions.

Reference to the brand of sugar? I'm not getting this cryptic one. You've stumped me.

I think a fun, light gesture for someone who is otherwise single and alone on Valentine's day is both appropriate and probably appreciated by the receiver, not unlike kissing under the mistletoe on Christmas.

I might even do something like that this year, even with someone whom I like but with whom I have no romantic intentions - it would be fun, that's all...

Another thing you could do is write her name with a heart in candles outside her doorstep so when she looks out of her window, she will see it. However I only suggest doing that if she is your girlfriend, however it may be a good way to tell her that you have strong feelings for her.
this is an awesome romantic gesture, i reckon. i dont think its right for this situation, but when 2 people are in love this would be a great way to express your feelings.

also, i really like boo's idea about the 5 flowers 1 of which is fake, even if it is a bit clique :P

i think i'll get her a tulip because thats her favorite flower, and i'll write her a small something in a card. something along the lines of:

"did you know you have a super power?

whenever i see you smile, time seems to stop, if only for a second."

what do you guys think? too much? XD

I think that's cheesy. Write something friendly and fun.

Am I the only person on here who thinks that candle thing is f*cking weird? If guy who I wasn't dating did that to me I would be extremely upset.

If a guy did that who I was dating I'd feel sorry for him.

If you don't want to take any risks, simply write:

"Dear whatsit

Thanks for being such a great friend, I love hanging out with you!"
