The "paedophile" comment made me laugh for exactly this reason, a lot of Americans don't seem to realise that the age of consent isn't 18 everywhere in the world. "Half your age plus 7" does apply everywhere though, she fails by 10 years and you fail by 20

I doubt she is attracted to you romantically or sexually, though it is possible (particularly romantically). Maybe she just thinks you are interesting, or wants to repay a favour you didn't even realise you'd given.

Some good points, but without a geographical location we have to play it safe and go by the oldest consenting age of our combined cultures.

I think that assuming that the OP has relationship issues with his wife is... well wrong.
I think she likes you as a friend. Just try not to overstep the mark.
I see this as more of an enquiry rather than trying to pursue something... I'm sure the OP said he wasn't pursuing anything.
I also agree to not confronting her alone at all... it's a bad move that will lead to jail... a.k.a Go directly to Jail. Do not pass GO! Do not collect $200.

JanuaryMan, good point that we don't know location so we would want to use the oldest age of consent in this discussion. in Canada the age of consent can be anywhere from 12 to 18 depending on the age of the other person AND their social positions in relation to each other.
