anyway I just wanted to say this...there are some weeeeeird girls on that site. I was taling to this one girl about a month ago(she initiated contact with me, and i thought she was ok looking so responded.) I got creeped out bc she said her name was en and her username was chriissy or some other first name tht wasn't jen and when I asked her about it she said ''story is too long'' so i stopped replying to her and just today( a month later) she messages me on a new account saying hi im jenn u sound amazing..as i f she has no idea we talked before??
Then there are the girls who say hi to me very month who i keep ignoring..
Then there is this one chick who stoodd me up for a date about a yr ago and she ust sent e a message saying hi. I must have been desperate then cause she looks sinfully ugly

Any questions? Plus, eHarmony's Neil Clark Warren was associated with James Dobson's Focus on the Family, and despite being a Christian, I see them as a hate group. I shouldn't do total bashing. An old friend of my mom's has a 30 year old daughter who is married to a pre-med student who the family found on eHarmony, on a profile that the family set up, and not her (I forget if he has his MD already or not).
I'm curious, but has anyone here on WP ever succeeded getting into eHarmony?

Do you have anything to go by more than her name?
As odd as it sounds there could be two people with the same name on the same city(I have had to spend a while explaining to some acquaintances that while my name isnt that common I dont own it(after being told that someone on the radio had your first name and they turned the volume up only to be disappointed to see it wasnt you and several similar things on a week you try to make things clear to people))

Anything that brings attention to you can be a good thing if you know how to use it(you are likely to be approached about it and you can prepare how to handle that sort of situation...)
Id never be able to wear a shirt like that because Im too self conscious but if you prepare a couple of replies for different situations on which you may be approached about it it could do wonders. I personally like to use smaller things to capture people´s attention(use a death note instead of a christian cross which can be a great conversation starter among the right people...)) but if you are comfortable with it its a great way to express your intention.
A while ago I was having a discussion about why some people thought dating sites were so great with a few other members, the best reply we could come up with is that you both know why you are there and it should help with the whole I dont know if the other person is single... situation that stops people from approaching others. You have that covered in real life and I think it could be a great idea as long as you dont make a huge deal about the shirt(google chris chan girlfriend and it should clear up what you need to avoid)
I was a bit nervous the first time I wore it, but I was determined to try.

That's a negative attitude to have as even befriending one of them could lead to an opening for social events or an opportunity to meet more people but most of all, just being their friend because you have things in common with them is the best thing. However I don't have many things in common with people that are fat, simply because we have completely different lifestyles.
Personality and compatibility is important but I agree, if you are looking for a relationship based on physical and mental attraction, it's still important to but somewhat physically attracted to the person.
wtfid2, Just do your profile along the lines of mine, first I wasn't getting many responses apart from the desperate ones like you but I created this cocky/funny profile, wrote it so it would relate more to the British public and I have been getting unsolicited messages from attractive women everyday.

btw I ha a question for you. I don;t mean this in a rude way, but im genuinely curious in how many girls you've actually seen more tan once from these sites. This can include going on 2 dates, having them as your committed gf, or if you had sex with them that would count even if it were one time and not 2. just curious.
also where's my congrats for the date coming up lol. TBH though i'd be surprised if i got a second date lol.

http://www.okcupid.com/profile/zonemode ... le_similar Correct link is here, just use a more American version of it or relate it to American girls.
I will PM you a bit later on with the details, I have to go out.
Surprisingly, I'm getting some attention on OKCupid since rejoining and thought I finally found the dream girl (and was ready to come here and eat my words) because she literally is looking for someone like me, right down to the lack of previous experience. It sounded like an ideal match (and she's really good looking) but her profile's last sentence says that she will not respond to anyone under 5'10". Even though I'm well over that I can't look past that! I can see the preference but my goodness that's like me blocking her because she has long, straight red hair instead of my favourite colour (black).

Preferences are what they are, bro.
AND ARE YOU MAD?! STRAIGHT RED HAIR!! That's the BEST HAIR! Who cares if it's not your favorite, you'll be the envy of men the world round!
