yes. but not in a relationship thankfully. i' ve always been the "nice guy" that women only want as a friend, but not actually a friend more like an emotional tampon, they are only my friend if they need emotional support when their boyfriend mistreats them. I have also had women lead me on only to flake on me.

I think perhaps that you need to learn how to set and enforce boundaries. You should decide if you are interested in a woman as a friend or as a girlfriend fairly early in the relationship. If you decide you are interested in her as a girlfriend, then don't sit there listening to her like a therapist for months or years on end while you wonder when she is going to fall in love with you. Communicate to her your intentions fairly early in the relationship, and if she's not interested, don't stick around and pretend to be her friend with the hopes that she'll change her mind. If you do stick around, be a real friend, with no ulterior motives, and pursue other romantic relationships. If you have a friend who's a female and she keeps going on about her big bad boyfriend who you think is a jerk, just tell her directly that you think he's a jerk, or tell her "Sorry" and change the topic.

You need to communicate to women your intentions and when they are throwing too much of their emotional baggage on you.

Thing is, what if you don't know how you feel about a person until it's already been months or years? It's taken me about that long to really fall for people. I can't help it if I don't feel comfortable skipping from friendship directly to a relationship.

I learned how to use and manipulate others from the best teachers in the world -- women.

Machiavelli was a wannabe compared to my ex-wife and three out of the five girlfriends I had between my two marriages.

My current wife ... if she's a manipulator, then she's so good that I can't even tell that she is ... nor do I care ...

She wanted me purely for social status. A real gold digger.

In my opinion a lot of men leave themselves wide open to being used by women as they are invariably a sucker for a pretty face/nice body and all sense seems to leave their heads if this kind of woman gives them even the slightest attention.

So can you blame unscrupulous women for taking advantage if some men make it so easy??

I'm not saying it's right they act like this but men should try giving a bit less attention to looks and more to underlying character ie thinking with their brain instead of their d***!

I can guarantee that all the men who've been stung on this thread would still be lapping it up if an attractive women gave them the time of day tomorrow and asked them to take her out. They'd pay for all the drinks and chauffeur her about wherever she asked to go, just for the 'privilege' of having her on their arm to show off to others. Being used and ripped off is the price you pay for chasing this kind of woman/man. It's a pretty simple lesson to learn but it seems some men/women don't want to learn it.

If I can spot an obnoxious user-type man or woman within seconds it can't be that hard! Men prefer to kid themselves and turn a blind eye in my opinion.

I reckon the more sexy a person is, the more likely the person's 'warning alert' module in their brain will get turned off (if they even had one in the first place!)

You think logically with your brain

Entirely correct. But its not just men, women too. You can hear bad girlfriend/boyfriend stories on either side. Most dating today is superficial at best.

Yeah, there's really no need to be sexist here.

Dude - you have a horrible, HORRIBLE attitude. If you're that bitter about love and dating - why the hell are you even in here??

Go back to your solitude and let us try and figure this puzzle out without your toxic negativity. :x

So in order to be allowed to post in this forum my opinion on this subject has to match everyone else's?

god I'm really beginning to hate you people.

Not exactly. The problem is that, even though you say you have no interest in love and dating, you keep posting in the Love and Dating subforum to convince people to give up and show them how much better you are for not caring about this s**t (hint: you are not). You are similar to a christian who joins an atheist forum to preach and tell those "poor atheists" that they are going to hell for not agreeing with him.

In other words, you are a troll. And I am feeding you.

Phah! I've seen enough on this site alone to know that's not true. Pity none live anywhere near me!

Yeah because women are absolutely perfect and without fault.

I'm failing to follow your logic here

That's your problem.

No it's yours because it means you can't articulate your point very clearly

I said men/women - the thread is about just women though so I'd have said that's sexist.

If you're going to be pedantic, at least aim it at the right target
