I've been on that site too for about 2 years, but never got a date off of it. I just tried running my typical "no kids" and "no smoking" age 40 to 60 search and only got one hit within 50 miles me.
I get much better results on POF and datehookup (and some dates). But it could be different for younger people. DH has a lot of forums too.

i dont agree with what okcupid says about my personality. that is why i changed some answers.

I'm not a virgin but I would definitely like to meet a nice girl and it's difficult to meet one for me without going through dating sites like this one. It's so exhausting to put that much effort into getting to know a girl and then poof it's over.

its better to wonder how people think some questions will make them a great catch. its as if someone would sleep with a profile and not the person behind it

I have an account, I deleted my old one and made a new one....guess I am just leaving it ups in hopes that maybe someone intresting will talk to me. Though I sometimes browse profiles when I am bored, I can never seem to convince myself to just send a messege myself to someone I find interesting. worse that could happen is someone would be like 'no go away, don't want to talk like a loser like you.' or something.

I wouldn't say I really date online, I use things like Okcupid more as an attempt to meet people in my area I could get to know IRL...I am not even necessarily looking for dating even just making friends would be nice, but I gotta somehow find the other crazies who get me and can tolerate my madness either in a friendship or intimate relationship.

thats all up to the guy. I personally go through plenty of hot girls who either bore me or look like theyre trying too hard to be a catch. On the pof meet me feature I think ive hit maybe 10 yes and I frequently visit that to see what kinds of silly things some do. I even have a folder of shame for the ones that really take the cake.

Boring, also those guys who are all about fun and a good time but don't think about the more serious aspects of life don't want some girl with a bunch of mental health issues to bring them down. Hmm I wonder why it seems so uncommon for people to just want someone that will be there no matter what sh*t life throws at you. Everything seems so based on social status rather than an actual connection to a person and both parties wanting to put their all into it and stick together even when it all seems hopeless.

Seems the common trend is, things seem hopeless so people divorce and break up looking for something better, as if that will solve the initial problem.

Not too sure about that, that is not usually something i look for. Maybe that is the case for some though, but I am sure there are males who also feel the need to try and find someone better then them.....to gain social status or whatever or at least that seems to be the case much of the time.
