I really don't know; but I have met one LA gal who is nice to me. She's a typical gal, likes anime/manga. :D

I live 45 minutes north of LA. You guys need to realize it just depends where you go to find women.
There are real women. There are fake women. It just depends where you go. (like any other city)
If you plan on going clubbing (not quite my thing) then you are bound to meet people that are materialistic, etc.
There's some cute women here that volunteer at the animal shelter. I should of grabbed one of their numbers! :P
My brother has a smoking hot girlfriend who is real, laid back, and not materialistic at all.

When I lived in the Chicago area, the women seemed more appreciative of a working-class man, even if the women were of the upper economic classes. They also seemed less appreciative of shallow, image-oriented males (e.g. "GQ Magazine" models), and men who could not hold down a job -- any job. As long as a Chicago man is ambitious (and skilled) enough to take whatever job comes along, he won't lack for female companionship.
