Oh I thought you were a friendly sociable outgoing type person - that is the persona you are projecting plus you said you wanted to meet people - another outgoing feature
I saw two people on that thread I sent asking about a Manchester meetup
If you organise a meetup you get to choose the venue and what you do
You sound easy going enough to be a good host too
I really appreciate your compliment but unfortunately I am an extreme introvert.
Would be nice to check out, so I thank you in advance for showing me that thread!
True, but with my lack of direction with meet ups, it'd probably end up horribly, lol.
I can be easy going, but not a great host.
Oh well
Perhaps you could assist someone else to organise a meetup then or a group of people could
all take equal parts in setting one up?
Meetups seem to be more common down in London from the looks of things
Meetups are quite good if you happen to go to the same one rather frequently.
Most meetups need people, if you become a regular you´ll have a chance to interact with most members on a personal level.
Last week for example I was at a meetup and we ended up joking about a female there acting as a personal shopper(she has a fashion blog, a few rinks had been had before the idea came to life).
She didnt know either of the males there, however we had the ok from the girls and she agreed and said that we should contact her if we needed some help.
Yesterday I was invited to my first christmas dinner ever. I always assumed this was about being succesfull/socializing at work/uni ... all I had to do to get an invite was go to the same group regularly, people there have organised their own.
I havent met a partner through meetup but ive forced myself out there and ended up doing plenty of things i wouldnt do/getting comfortable talking to the opposite sex. A partner came shortly afterwards because I was comfortable enough joking around females and I no longer felt awkward talking to them
