Women do like shy guys, as long as they have things going for them BESIDES being shy.

Such as? Just curious.

It depends on the taste of the woman.

If I may jump in...any quality that is appealing to the individual woman. Apart from maybe "outgoingness" or similar, as that kind of contradicts the "shy" quality. There are a few threads here about what women look for in a guy.

Depends on each girl.

For example I met A 9 months ago. Up until 3 months ago she used to ignore me most of the time(big group of people, didnt really mind...)
I started wondering what happened three months ago and it all came to me last week.
We were just talking about our lifes and she said that I seemed to be taking religion more seriously in this past few months(thats when it hit me that she doesnt want to spend her time around non religious people)

Granted I met her at a church related group but what each person is looking for can vary a lot and you have to keep trying to show different sides of yourself and see how someone reacts.

I actually find shyness itself to be very attractive in men. There is something very mysterious and intriguing about it...sort of the opposite of the loud, brash jock or the smooth ladies' man, both of which are repugnant to me. I've been consistently attracted to socially awkward, shy men all my life and that is why I am currently in a relationship with a man on the spectrum. :) The only downside is that because I like wallflowers I have to be especially proactive about finding them and making the first move, which is something that has not come easily to me.

So any tips for identifying women like you? :-)

I actually have lots going for me, job-wise, career-wise, etc, but I think I am even more relationship challenged than some other aspies. It's like I have no personality and no emotions that I am able to express.

So I don't think it's just a matter of having other things going on, and being unemployed is not a deal breaker. So any suggestions?

I like shy girls more than loud mouthed big-black-women-who-don't-need-no-man.
