I was 16 when I had my first boyfriend. It was a good experience. But I'm trying to recall how it all started and I can't. I remember the denouement though

Yeah. My first relationship was like that. I was a senior in high school, and I dated a girl for a month and we never kissed. I kissed her once on her cheeks that it. But my first ''good'' relationship was when I was 23.

I've never had a girlfriend...although, when I was in 1st grade me and this girl considered each other boyfriend-girlfriend (but I don't think that really counts.)

My first boyfriend was @ 15 but was non-sexual and I had 2 non-sexual relationships in high school. In college I felt kind of pressured to branch out because my bestie was all "Sex is AWESOME", so I had my first sexual relationship @ 17. Truthfully, it was a mistake. I chose the wrong person for the wrong reasons (I didn't even like him, but he was easy) so I didn't learn about intimacy for years afterwards. A shame really.

I had my first relationship at 18 and still think about him occasionally today (almost 20 years later). We met in music school, both piano players and I loved how sensitive and loving he was but I was emotionally unstable and immature at the time and unwillingly pushed him away (that break-up HURT...I felt a bomb go off in my head when it happened). We only dated 6 weeks but those were an INTENSE 6 weeks but we didn't have sex (oh, how I wanted to). I wanted to marry him actually and seeing him after the break-up was so hard and wanted him back. If he were available and we were friends (haven't seen him in over a decade) I would consider dating him again. You never lose it for your first love.

A great optimistic note for me to fall asleep on.

I'm gonna end up like the Coral Castle man.

Well, the fist time I had a relationship (that lasted longer than 10 minutes) was when I was 12. He was new to town, nice, respectful, and relatively good looking. It lasted about a year, then he went out with an older girl (before we broke up). Turns out after high school he came out of the closet and found himself a boyfriend.
But as far as a real relationship I could actually see going somewhere: nothing yet, but still looking.
