I feel hopeless, frustrated and sometimes depressed, but I haven't stopped finding love.
but there will come a time when I had it, give up, break down and say to myself, "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A GIRL WHO'LL LOVE ME FOR ME! THE CAKE IS A LIE!! !"

Girls have shown intrest in me in the past. But I'm very nervous and anti-social, which makes it really hard to even talk to girls my age. Let alone have a relationship.

At the moment you are still young, you could easily bump into somebody who likes you, then you can get married, have kids, take them to the zoo, you still have the possibility in front of you.

Its when you have to face the fact the possibility is behind you that you can know the gnawing empty misery of true hopelessness.

I hear you. I used to think like that-I'm no spring chicken either-and it feels weird after decades of hopelessness to be taking the opposite position, but when I never thought it would happen somebody appeared. Granted, it was short;,for practical reasons it could not endure, but it gave me new hope. I had never thought there was anybody crazy enough to like me out there (and she was crazy 8O ) but there was, and everything feels different now.
