If you have to ask them to buy, there not into you.

When I was younger and used to go to the bar with my friend guys bought us drinks all the time. We didn't ask for them and sometimes it was guys that we hadn't even talked to at that point. Sometimes it was a completely friendly gesture, like gay men buying us drinks at a gay bar.

I don't drink any more but if I did I'd be uncomfortable about accepting drinks from men. Most were nice about it but there were some that acted mad because we wouldn't put out and they seemed to think that they were owed sex because they bought us a $2 drink.

If we actually liked a guy whether they bought us a drink made no difference. It does help give an excuse to start talking to us though if it's the first time we met.

So? Being a woman doesn't make you an expert. There tends to be a big disparity between what women THINK attracts them, and what ACTUALLY does. I didn't start to have much success with women until I started ignoring their advice and following the advice of men actually successful with women.

Replace THINK with SAY and you've nailed it. People tend to say the opposite of what they think in order to boost their self image and appease their peers.

If this is true then a lot of threads are useless here.

I have no problem buying my own drink.Once a bartender have me one on the house because one of our dogs had got run over,it was a nice gesture.I do know a lady in her sixties that does expect the men to pay for it all, seems greedy to me.Whats wrong with splitting a tab?If it was the mans birthday or special occasion I would not mind treating and it would be sweet if someone returned the favor.

You just pour half of your drink into some cup you picked up from an empty table, add water, offer it... then remark to her how odd the drinks in this place are so watered down. I've better stuff at my place...want to come?
