No.

Darwinism has been taken too far. It's a wide theory - obviously a fact in many ways - but it self-justifies to such a great extent. It's almost like a filter to see the world through - if used too much, one misses things.

i thought the shirtless picture was for people just looking for a hook-up. i never look at profiles with a shirtless picture as the main picture.

I've only seen one shirtless pic that was in good taste.

It was shot in a woods, he was sitting on a huge rock by the river with a friend. It seemed like they were hiking and got hot so he took his shirt off. It was shot with a high quality camera from afar, so it was not an in-your-face shirtless pic. But you could tell he had a nice, lean, not too ripped body.

Yeah that's exactly the kind of shirtless pic I don't mind. The last bit I'm not fussed on - I wouldn't mind any guy with any type of body posting a pic like that. My impression would be "this guy likes hiking, that's cool".

Ok, I should've said "you could tell what kind of shape he was in."
I mean that's the point of a shirtless pic after all, right? To show off your physique? This guy knew what he was doing, but he did it in a tasteful way.

Going shirtless for an activity other than swimming is certainly show off.

Also, it is not wise to do it for hiking, usually you get in contact with insects and spiky plants while hiking.

lol, the right short-sleeve t-shirt will display a guys physique just fine(arm muscle/definition, flat stomach, etc) A t-shirt makes it nearly impossible for someone to accuse a guy of "showing off" at least when it comes to his physique.

showing off is what you do with any picture  ...just make sure that what you portray is how you want to come across

That is quite insulting.

It's basic logic, women do not have their own type of logic. Logic is universal which is why it can be relied upon regardless of personal opinions and beliefs.

What is the point of any picture other than show off the content? Otherwise you would just use words to describe the person instead.

Show off means boastfully displaying something. A photo can simply be capturing the moment/ keeping memory or simply to show how you look like, and they can be for boasting body things like lips (typical duckface pic) or ass (showing back while leaning on wall/tree pose) or waist/curves (waist pose) or even flexed muscles for guys or even assets (luxury car, house..).

But it's not always about boasting.

Yep, especially since women will often drop a guy as a potential-boyfriend the moment they assume he's deliberately trying to impress them and/or show-off.

men are very unattractive and they should all dress in the most concealing clothes that they can acquire.
i do not want to see the bare skin of men.

Whenever someone is taking a photo in some group outing, I've noticed most girls typically and automatically re-adjust their poses and body stances, like for example putting hands on waist and leaning like models do in some photos or if they're sitting they automatically cross their legs in certain way (example, the second pic : http://ericamatthews.files.wordpress.co ... g-down.jpg).

I am totally ok with such pics, I am not against showing off some physical aspects and one or two such pics in some album can be a cute variety, but the thing is they do that in almost EVERY pic and EVERY time they take a photo.

Guys rarely do (male)model-like poses while taking photos, they simply look at the camera and smile, you can see some on dating sites but they are rare on facebook.

It seems to me that the photos' sole purpose for a lot of girls is showing off something.

Hence why my "sexist comment", sorry leafplant if it was really insulting but honestly I said it deliberately for bugging/teasing my females fellas here.
