A good heart + physical attractiveness would be just fine and dandy for me. It does mean that I would end up very lazy but it would be very comforting to have someone like this around. In the same people have love for anything "vulnerable" a child, a puppy..

I would opt for brainy/interesting and moderately ugly over dim and super hot though. But the good heart is an absolute must.

A relationship with an interesting brainy person would be really exhausting and fiery for me though, probably be the end of me. But I would do it anyway.

I have a feeling we lack a consensus on what a crappy personality is.

Not at all. I've passed on a few and to this day I'm glad I did. The guys who didn't pass on them had a few months of misery that I otherwise could have experienced.

As a homo, I wouldn't date a hot guy with a crap personality, either. I might hookup with him, but no chance I'd date him.

I think the vast majority of people on an Asperger's forum are going to value personality over aesthetics. You'd probably get a different set of responses entirely if you posted the same question on a bodybuilding forum.. ie I'd expect "personality? what personality? who cares as long as she's smokin' hot & f*cking ME!"

Short term date sure. Long term date, or even marry? Nope.

The looks are going to simply get worse given time, guaranteed. There is no guarantee that the personality will ever improve.

A short term date may simply be an arm-trophy.

Yes, so that way I wouldn't have to feel constantly pressured to keep a good attitude. If she has crappy personality, then I probably could too around her.
