to even know,what kind of personality they have.

Yeah, that's another problem. Shyness is another trait that can be worked on. I have that issue, too. I wasn't approachable, so I never got asked out. (Every time I did the asking, I got turned down.) Online dating fixed that issue for me, because me being there showed guys that I was looking for a date. Of course, my fix was easier, since men traditionally do the asking.
