Ever seen a Hollywood action actor who doesn't have an "ideal" male body?

I'm confused. Look, I don't watch porn gay or straight so I can't compare the hotness of the male actors in them. All I'm saying is me watching gay porn would not be "the cause" of gay men's attractiveness. I didn't ask why "I think" gay men are hotter. I was asking it as a general fact. You don't think gay men have better bodies than straight guys on average?

Anyway I'm not really interested in talking about this further. I kinda know why actually.
Men are more visual oriented so gay men put extra effort on their physical appearances to attract other males. That's all.

This is also why 'hot male bodies' are harder to come by - women don't put as much emphasis on the visual, so straight men have less incentive to keep their bodies 'hot' than women do.

And, Boo, just because I said I find men's bodies more pleasing to look at, please note that I didn't qualify that they had to be hot. I just happen to appreciate all the physical/visual qualities that differentiate men from women.

The gay men who ever hit on me were fat or skinny - and one looked emo.

You say men are more visual yet I keep hearing women like you complaining why gay men are "hotter", oh the irony.

As for you not watching gay porn, you said you watch gay romance; I bet they bring the hottest for the same reason I explained for gay porn, those are enough to give you this false impression.

There's also the "wanting to have the unattainable" factor, when you meet a hot gay you would go "Sigh" and would stick more into your memory, it happens the same with men meeting hot lesbians.

And no, I don't think gay men are hotter in average - I see straight men put as much effort into fitness too.

Those are common false "mirage" impressions due to factors stated above.

Just because a woman can recognize levels of hotness doesn't mean she is as visual as most males. *shrug* Even as an Aspie female with a brain that's more male than female, I can tell you that I'd rather have a physically less-than-perfect male partner that I get along with well, than have an incompatible partner with 6-pack abs.

I seem to recall in a recent thread that you went to great lengths to prove that the vast majority of straight men preferred brainless hotties, regardless of how many desirable traits other, slightly less hot women might possess. Just sayin'....

I wasn't "complaining" at all. I was just stating what I believe to be the fact.

I enjoy watching gay romance mostly for the stories ( as well as the hot actors I admit. But most of those actors are straight anyway, e.g. Broke back Mountain, My Beautiful Laundrette).

I've met a lot of attractive gay men but I've yet to meet a hot lesbian in person. But that may be because I'm not a lesbian but a gay guy trapped in a woman's body.

You're right about one thing though. I do have the tendency to "want to have the unattainable." (I think you do too...!)

Maybe the women are admiring the makeup,hair,shoes,etc that the other women are wearing,not so much the bodies.Id rather look at a man I find attractive,but not one that looks like he has not bathed for weeks and has crawled out of a dumpster.

She's right and there is evidence to back it up. Studies have shown it to be true, females have a much greater capacity than males to have bisexual feelings. Girls have a clear indication of who the pretty ones are and who the ugly ones are. Guys, or at least myself, only the most basic idea of what an attractive male would be like. Straight girls write and sing along to songs like "I Kissed a Girl". Do straight guys get such a feeling out of "Brokeback Mountain"? The female way of seduction is a lot more romantic and sensual than the male way, and that makes it more appealing too. It's just so natural.

"Girls only kiss at clubs to get guys drooling". I've heard this a million times and it seems both sexist and homophobic/heteronormative to me. You might as well be saying that all guys have a lesbian fetish and that notion is responsible for the higher visibility of female bisexuality, and all bisexual or potentially bisexual girls are just attention whoring with a psychologically-exploiting ulterior motive. OK, I've always been obsessed with the idea, sexually and even romantically - but just reading this topic once again makes me realize I'm a lot less usual for it than I thought. I'd say the majority of guys don't appreciate it at all, let alone have it be their thing. But whatever, if they don't want to learn from girls they'll remain stupid.

And what countries have the most bisexual women? Sweden and Denmark, because they have both tolerant matriarchal societies and...beautiful women!

^ Bisexual women can't represent straight women about their sexual preference and can't speak for them, no matter how common they are in some society.

Bisexual women often choose women for fun but they end up marrying/LT men.
