It is commonly believed that In Egypt they like them big yet all their men (been only in contact with pro to middle class tho, it may be different for working class) who come over here admire the levantine women, who are more typically thin :-/ go figure.

At my table the following were considered physically attractive in a man:
-lots of muscles, like a body builder
-no muscles
-a bit of pudge
-scrawniness
-goth makeup
-a five o'clock shadow
-military haircut
-styled hair
-long Renaissance style locks
-strong square jaw
-boyish facial features
-a cute butt
-nice shoulders
-rippling abs
-nerd glasses
-baggy pants
-classic khakis
-pretty hands
-sweet eyes
-a perfect smile
-a slightly imperfect smile (small gap between front teeth or one tilted incisor)
-really tall ("several inches taller than me, preferably," said the female basketball player at the table)
-"same height as me, but shorter is OK, I just can't stand much taller than me"

-straight hair
-curly hair
-brown hair
-black hair
-blonde hair
-red hair
-pale skin (so pale you can practically see through it)
-dark skin (so dark that it's as close to true black that human skin can get)
-my color or a little darker/lighter than me
-bearded
-completely shaved, like, completely
-like a leading man from one of those old black and white films
-like (name of any number of male celebrities)

Basically the only thing we could all agree on physically was that he should be clean and have good breath.

Great summary! Everyone has different tastes, therefore, there's someone for everyone.

My BFF and I (35+ years of friendship) are very much alike in almost every way, personality-wise, but she's always gone for the clean-shaven, no-body-hair boyish-looking men; I've always gone for men with thinner (I guess more mature-looking?) faces, a bit of a pudge in the middle and lots of facial and body hair.

Do I have a Santa Claus complex?

But a lot of aspies (especially males) are alone.

What does that say then?

Oh, I remember that story. He's too pale and pasty for my taste. Also, he has cracked lips.

Get him some lip balm!

Also, there's a photo of him smoking. Smoker's breath = another disgusting dealbreaker.

I personally do not find his face shape attractive.

My gosh, you are extremely picky and desperately scan for physical "faults" when it comes to looks, this guy is obviously way above average looking.

^^^ Let's see him without the airbrushing and eyeliner for a true assessment. He looks like a Ken doll in that photo. :eew:

That guy is young and pretty - in a way females are pretty - he has that sort of look. Most women (not girls, women) would not find him attractive at all.

Things aren't that ideal, there are huge of differences when it comes to numbers. For example, the vast majority of women prefer a toned body, this isn't much comparable to let's say the 0.5% who like goth make up.

I do think men are in general more visually oriented than women, so as a rule women are not going to care as much about looks as men do. Doesn't mean they're unimportant, but it's certainly less important.

I am not "extremely picky," nor am I "desperately scanning" for physical faults. I simply have my own taste in men.

I can certainly see that he is what society would describe as conventionally handsome, but he is not my type at all.

He looks too much like Ken (as another user mentioned) and he's far too pretty (as another user also mentioned). I am not in the least attracted to him, or his flaky dry lips. :eew:

This is a common BS myth, women are as visual as men. You all just love to repeat it to sound less shallow lol.

for me most women who have rejected me have said its cause I'm unattractive looks wise.
My personality on the other hand is liked by most.
I don't know if this is the standard, but it is why I tend to have been rejected.

Your over-reaction to a minor physical fault (dry lips) tells volumes about your pickiness, it doesn't matter if your taste in men is unusual, you're simply perfectionist.

The flawless Ken-like skin is due to photoshoping btw.

^ I'm not "over-reacting." I merely said I didn't find him attractive, and explained why.

Why are you picking on me for simply making a comment that disagrees with your opinion?

:?

You may consider dry lips to be a "minor physical fault," but for me, they are a major dealbreaker. That is because everybody is different. We all have our own personal tastes and dealbreakers.

the only thing that makes you look unattractive is your obesity. Otherwise you have height and a cute face. Just stop eating anything other than chicken breast, salmon and salad for 6 months and lift weights and you will find girls falling over themselves to go out with you.
