"Red" hair actually ranges from light orange to an almost maroon color. So it is possible to have dark red hair.


hmm alright, for some reason I always thought the deeper/darker shades of red were dye...I suppose most I've seen have the lighter red hair with pale skin.

I've known a couple of people with hair that was (naturally) nearly literally red.
Maroon hair, though, doesn't happen in nature.
