I only eat 1900 calories a day. hard to eat much with that count. harder still to figure out serving sizes. like why do they give servings in weight and others in cups. prefer the ones where they say how many things is a serving or 1/12 is a server etc.

like how am I suppose to weigh food o.O
I also get hungry a bit.

I ate 2850 calories while I only burned 2400 calories. Makes me feel so freaking bad about myself. Tomorrow I am going to walk an hour extra and only eat 250 calories.

That is very foolish and will fail as a strategy

I assume you included all the calories you burned during the day and night (i.e. while standing around, while sleeping, etc.)? And if so I doubt you could get the number so accurate, there would be a large error margin there so you may have burned more or less than you think. Don't worry about it. Definitely don't punish your body for it.

Retro I would say just be yourself, don't try to be someone you're not or try show off all the time (I hope that didn't sound rude, I literally did not mean it to sound that way).

Does that mean I should give up my career ambitions because I'm trying to be someone I'm not (a salaryman)?

This.

And that never includes video games.

It can be anything from playing an instrument, computing , wall flipping, to sex - but not video games.

But surely the girls will be impressed when they see my MAME cabinet, right :)?

Yeah, I have rules like that sometimes but I've decided I'm exempt from such rules on days when I have to do something that requires concentration, which is most days as it turns out. At the moment it's this Specialisterne program but at other times it's other things.

I also wave my calorie restrictions when there's free food on offer or when I have perishable food that will go off soon.

trying to lose weight so I have to try really hard to maintain it or with my family eating styles I would be eating way to much.

Well, the consumed part I'm pretty sure off because all the foods I ate were packaged and I weighted them. I'm not exactly sure how much I burnt, but my MBR is about 1500 calories. Adding two hours of 3.0 mph walking to that makes 1800 calories. Then I did zumba for 90 minutes which adds another 600 calories. Total 2400 calories :)

Yeah, I'm trying to lose weight too but I don't priorities job performance above weight loss. I can't concentrate when I'm hungry and I no longer have access to appetite suppressants so any time I have to concentrate I have to eat and I usually just go with what everyone else is having, e.g. at work today we were provided with pizza, not the healthiest but I just went along with it, I'd rather take the free food instead of going down stairs and paying for something.

Anyway, like I said there's often something I have to do that requires concentration, that's why my BMI has creeped back up to 24. I don't have any research I need to do tonight so at least I don't need to eat dinner. I'll go for a walk instead.

well Its not what I eat but how much I eat. so if pizza was offered. I could eat it just probably not as much as other. pizza tends to be really high in calories.
suchs when I work though cause I have to drink energy drinks to wake up which are 220 calories per one. mostly its just cutting back on snacks. which tend to be super high in calories that and eating smaller meals. $1 320 calorie tv dinner vrs $3 900 calorie hungry man tv dinner.
If I don't count calories I tend to eat way way too much food. especially if I haven't eating in a while I'll binge eat.

Can you take your own food? If you do that, you can take something that's nutritious and filling but not high-calorie.

Café au lait,

I bet, if you increase your walking speed to 3.5 mph, that you will benefit.

You can either

A. Live on tasty pizza.

B. Keep a healthy weight.

Not both. :P

You could learn to cook, too. Noone is born a good cook.

Daaamn. But they were serving it for free in the break room. It's so much easier to eat bland food when I'm not around it and I don't really like eating low calorie stuff before/during work because I'm worried lack of calories might aversely effect my concentration. Can't I make up for for all the pizza I eat at work by skipping meals?
