Anyway, most dates don't get past the first date - so in my opinion, it's best to NOT be so overhappy, the higher the hopes the worse the disappointment/rejection.
Keep the hopes real and in check.

Bad idea. If you go to a date not being excited about being on a date with the woman, you are going to lower the chances of a good outcome. If you think it will not work out it won't.

I don't believe in this whole "karma/vibes" s**t business; as long you're not getting extreme - whether extremely overhappy or overnegative; the outcome would only be affected by the date itself and whether there's mutual attraction or not.

All this karma-talk, you-have-to-be-happy or bla bla is ridiculous.

It's just a date, not a marriage.

It's the interview, not the job.

This here, is the ultimate truth.

You never see women celebrating when they get a date. EVER. The fact that a guy has to celebrate getting a date (at 34 years old, no less!) signifies that the dating pool is skewed.

I've seen it.

Besides, aren't we talking about guys and women dating each others? Wouldn't that mean that guys go on the same number of dates as women do? And that the failure rate for women is the same as for men.

And like I said, I still celebrate quite heartily when I get a date, to the point where I have to be told off - and in case you couldn't tell, I'm very female.

Just because I didn't do it here (and with good reasons!) doesn't mean I didn't.

10 women, 10 guys
10 women date the same 5 guys.
5 guys never get dates.
so the women would have a 100% date rate while the guys only have a 50% date rate. supose to be more real you could say 8 women date 5 guys so 80% for women and 50% for men. would have to do do a national surevy to find the true numbers but I'm willing to bet theres more guys who have never dated than women.

just cause 10 women get 10 dates doesn't mean 10 guys got 10 dates. reality is just cause women get 500 dates doesn't mean men get 500 dates. since there isn't rules saying you can't date the same guy you friend dated.

not to say that some women don't struggle with dating. just they have lower chances of it then men. just as certian groups are more likely to be victims of crime or get cancer. stuff doesn't do equally in life.

It is funny people talk of "truth" when there is no basis for their observation and then using words like "EVER". You are making this (lack of) observation based on you personally not having witnessed. What make you sure you are a good POV for this?

I've not read anything so ridiculous in a long time.

The dating poll cannot be skewed unless:
a. women are only ever having one night stands, or polygamous with a small group of males, and not having monogamous, long term relationships.
b. women are in mostly lesbian relationships.

A simple understanding of demographics debunks this. Gays, lesbian and polygamy's effect on heterosexual relationship is minimal, and it take two to tango. We know that male/female demographics are very close in number.

It would be better if people were honest with themselves about being resentful and bitter.

True. It all comes with who pursues and who doesn't. Of course the group that pursues (men) will have a lot lower chance of getting dates than the one that doesn't pursue. But if some men don't follow the gender roles, they get screwed too. It's really a no-win situation for a lot of men.

Kezzstar, you are one exception out of like 4 billion women. Besides, that thread you linked, you were like 19 years old. This guy who started this thread is almost twice your age....and doubting and celebrating the fact he got a date. Two completely different circumstances.

You're going to ignore then my date a month ago where my co-workers had to ban me from talking about it?

Or my NT female friends whom the moment they get a date are all over Facebook gushing excitedly (...yeah, I can see how I got annoying).

That means these 10 women have a much lower chance of getting a positive outcome since the 5 guys can only get together with 5 of the women while the other 5 will remain alone. Just as the 5 guys that never gets any dates.

Besides, the same thing applies to women. Very attractive women in their 20s have a much higher chance of getting dates compared to divorced women in their 40s. A male that never gets a date might simply be targeting the wrong women, just like 5 of the women in your example targets they wrong guys.

they probably had dates when they were in their 20s, whos to say the women currently in their 20's won't end up divorced women in 40s. better to loved and loss then not loved at all.

so women who had 500 dates and end up alone aren't the same as the guys who never had a date, never been touched, never been loved. cause the women likely experienced all those even if it didn't last or become a ltr.

I targeted all women with no results. well ones I liked, and find pretty which is like 90% of women in my area. so not sure how I can do better til I can prover myself worthy by getting a better job and car.

There is no point to comparing who's got it worse. It doesn't solve anything.

It can be even worse, some guys here start threads like "Omfg! I have received a reply on Okc!! ! What to DO NOW??" -

I am not mocking anyone, but this is sad......really sad.

Nope, not denying anything, you have it as bad as those guys here.

And this is sad.

I know I sound the big downer here  but hey I am the Boo! and it's something I have noticed a lot on this board and always wanted to discuss about it - and it's usually guys who do this hence why my gender bias. I believe it's a symptom of something....not right....something fundamentally amiss in the person's life/lifestyle.

Hoping a positive feedback from the op still; maybe he and his new girl are raging the bed together already while I am blabbing here.

Nope, this observation is based on seeing threads over ~7+years here, and I assure that it's usually guy who do these celebration' threads about trivial things (a reply, first date, she smiled, she said hi...etc). I don't have them recorded, but they are usually created by guys.

Yes, but meanwhile the less fortunate 5 girls are getting dating experience, bit boost of self worth and maybe sex - while the 5 equivalent guys are getting nothing of that.
Of course in real life population in not 10 - so the lack of exp and self-esteem even make it harder for those guys in the upcoming attempts.

Let's take Kezzstar for example, since she's challenging us that she has it as bad: she whined a lot about not getting a bf; but if you look in the adult section you find she has an active sex life and enjoying it.
