There's nothing more special to it, it was just by mere luck.

Nothing wrong with luck, it's better to be lucky than smart, hard working, talented, etc. Also, have you ever considered that it's not specifically the ex that's she's drawn to? It could be that the ex was just her preferred type and voila you're that exact same type. When you said 2 weeks since her breakup that sent red flags up, but when it was edited to 2 months, well, that's a bit different. She very well could be over him enough to date, in fact she probably should be.

Well if she's not giving up, why are you?

I'd been broken up with my ex for about two months when I met the person who I married. No worries with that. The only issue is that she can't stop talking about it, which isn't really normal. She seems kind of clingy right now with constant calls.

You must not have read the thread at all. Not all of us have these issues, and it's unfair for you to say that.

I'd look at it this way: the opportunity cost of dating someone who isn't over their ex is the opportunity to date someone who IS over their ex.

It's one thing to loosen some standards or preferences in order to increase your chances a bit, but there's some standards that you're well within your rights to demand that people meet. Being over your ex is one of them.
