I am not exactly of the Alpha persuasion--but I really haven't had too much trouble having girlfriends since my mid-twenties.

The relationships haven't always been good--for various reasons. Some of these have to do with my "beta-ish" tendencies.

The whole theory of "alpha males" and "beta males" that's perpetuated by the PUA community, as well as on these forums, is that women are almost exclusively attracted to men who are macho, charming, dominant, and hypermasculine. While it is true that these types of guys get more women, the reason for it is not that women are attracted to them, but that these guys spend more time pursuing women as opposed to doing other things, and they also attach less value to relationships and are more willing to sleep around.

Frequently, "alpha" males, after a while, get dumped, too.

If all they got is their "charm," height, physique, and confidence, it gets boring after a while.

To sum up, your advice is 'try harder'? Is that it?

It is to realize that alpha males don't always get the girl in the end. All they might get is a few more flings.

Having flings is fun for a short while, but it really gets tired fast.

Is to know that you, as a non-alpha male, have a better chance than you think you have.

That makes me radioactive and highly explosive.
