Worst things to say to a girl
I didnt mean to coime across as aggressive if i did earlier so sorry if i did.
I certainly dont like the media's harsg criteria for attractive men just as women may not like theirs.
I often feel insecure as even if i workout to gain muscle, i am jealous of skinny males because even if they may be weak, at least they have a flat stomach.
I am always jealous of how any piece of clothing looks good on a skinny male while a lot of clothes just make me look even bulkier than I already them.
I have a skinny-fat body, but with a decent amount of muscle.
Lucky skinny guys however just need to lift weights, I've got to lift weights and lose body fat to look more like them.

Can you not lift weights and lose fat at the same time?

It is actually easier to convert body fat into muscle than it is to gain muscle from nothing.my boyfriend hates being skinny because he can't put in weight and really struggles to gain muscle
Sabreclaw: No, you can't, only if you're a beginner to working out and weightlifting can you lose fat and gain muscle simultaneously.
To gain muscle you've got to eat more food than your body needs, and some of the weight gain will be fat, but if you train your muscles hard most of it will be muscle.
To lose body fat you've got to be eating less food than you need.
When you're an absolute beginner, because your body has never been exposed to the weights, you'll gain muscle no matter how poor your diet and training is.
But, after the first 6-12 months is when you have to decide whether you have the dedication to take thing seriously e.g. healthy diet, proper sleep, proper training, etc.
That's what many people don't understand about working out to gain muscle - the beginning is the EASIEST part and essentially you are biologically DESIGNED to have fun with fast muscle gains at the start before things slow down.
alliekit:
Yes, that applies to skinny ectomorphs with lightspeed metabolism's who find it difficult to gain weight, referred to as 'hardgainers', but not every skinny male necessarily finds it hard to gain weight.
And, it's not easy to convert fat to muscle as it can not be done simultaneously.
The concept is called 'Body re-composition' but is currently a myth/not scientifically proven.
Fat can not actually turn into muscle and the only way to lose fat is to keep switching back and forth from gaining mostly muscle but some fat, and losing fat but maintaing your muscle mass.
The cycle is known as 'bulking' (bulk up muscle and mass) and 'cutting' (lose fat to make muscle visible).
Point is, skinny guys have low body fat, making whatever muscle they gain visible for the world to see.
Eventually, the skinny guy will have higher body fat and have to cut, but that would take several months.
If you are a male who was skinny-fat, like I am, then it's not too long before you have to stop gaining the muscle and change to losing fat. And again and again.
I'd rather gain muscle AND fat slow than gain fat quickly and muscle slow...
If you are overweight, you've got to lose the fat before gaining the muscle.
If you are a 'skinny-fat' male, you have the option to either lose the fat first, the gain the muscle, or gain the muscle, and lost the fat.
Skinny males, there is only one way - gain the muscle.
Bulling is about getting a reaction, so they will push buttons to see what works. Keep them guessing.
Men are also bullied about weight, but they don't have meme about not asking.
