But it's a sad fact that a lot of men really do think this way. Usually it's men who are inexperienced themselves, and naive about relationships; they want the ideal "Disney Marriage" with a blushing virgin princess. Men throughout history have valued chastity (often to a toxic extreme), the hashtag #NoHymenNoDiamond is a good example of this.

Women don't value chastity?

Virginity and chastity is are different things.

It is usually the social conservative religious people who value chastity, and virginity before marriage. If you want an example of patriarchal view of chastity look not further than the Old Testament or the Quran. I take it you don't agree with that view?

I value chastity, but not to the same extent as the OP. I think people should ideally be chaste until marriage, but the reality is that women don't always get to choose how they lose their virginity. I also empathize with the fact that young people sometimes make regrettable decisions. I would never judge someone for being a non-virgin.

Compulsory chastity, the idea that a non-virgin is "used goods" and unworthy of a relationship, is not a value I hold.

No, you aren't the only one BR. The gratuitous details are weird things to share with strangers on the internet and even if it is sincere then there is still something really inappropriate about it for me, especially for a first post by an OP.
