It might be very narrow-minded of me to categorize people into high school stereotypes - I don't mean to, I know people are more diverse and unique than this.

But for the sake of this thread, which the OP categorizes people into narrow social groups from the get-go, I'll just go with it and do the same.

With that said:

I'm honestly sick and tired of WP being against 'jock' or 'alpha' type males.

I see a lot of aspie girls and women and nerdy/geeky women in general say they 'hate muscles' and want someone shy, awkward, skinny and nerdy rather than someone more confident and collected.

Well, that's all well and good for the nerdy and geeky aspie men, but where does that leave the 'jocks'?

If I ever meet an aspie female who actually likes jocks, and speaks positively of them the way they do of geek males, it won't be too soon.

I've been on both sides of the fence enough to know not every jock or 'bro' type male is an a55h•le.

Don't get me wrong, I understand why a lot of people hate them - yes, plenty of them can be rude, loud, obnoxious, aggressive, idiotic; but this certainly isn't all of them.

Truly, there is nothing wrong with enjoying sports, gym and recreational exercise, wearing polo shirts and cargo shorts for the aesthetics, socially drinking with friends, casual gaming, interest in mainstream rap or electronic music, interest in mainstream fashion and cultural norms, interest in parties, going to nightclubs and bars, and preferring socializing over studying.

I've met plenty of good 'jocks' and plenty of arrogant, condescending geeks.

I think the big problem for Aspie males who fall into the 'jock/bro' category is that most young males who fall into this category tend to be sporty and turn out popular, social and extraverted in high school and university, but aspie males can't do this because of our awkwardness.

I probably would have been one of 'those jocks' had I been N.T. but simply can't socialize or connect with the 'popular' types well enough and besides I am turned off by their level of shallow superficialness, vanity and conformity.

So what do the aspie jocks/bros do?

The other jocks don't want them, and the 'geeks' don't either.

Realistically I have no idea what my attractiveness level is out of 10 if one were to give it a number, I'm hoping I'm at least facially and physically average.

If we are to believe in 'leagues', I have no idea what my 'league' is. All crushes and girlfriends (very few) I've had were all so diverse in looks and personality I have no idea where I stand.

I do have a female friend and we both use to have a crush on each other. It appear we're about equal in physical attractiveness. I'd say she's a 5 or 6 objectively, but to me she was a 10, of course. We're very similar and she's almost like an opposite sex version of myself. Difference is she is far more outgoing and socially successful than I've ever been. I guess that should be what I could have been had I not been so socially delayed.

No one likes a straight jock though, here.

They're all 'a55h•les'.

I understand having had bad experiences with some of them in the past, but certainly not all of them were the popular bullies who only made the aspie men here miserable during adolescence.

I'm not talking about dumb, loud obnoxious ones either.

I'm talking about someone with average intelligence who enjoys sports, casual gaming, social drinking and is otherwise an ordinary person.

Heck, plenty of them can be quiet or shy.

I knew of 'jock' types in high school who spoke very few words yet still fell into the 'popular crowd'.

am guessing it is like what henry kissenger said about politicians, "90% of them give the other 10% a bad reputation."

Why do you call jocks dumb here, but not to their faces? The answer probably has something to do with why girls like them better than you.

Btw, for those who consider evo psychology is not true and pseudoscience .

Then that means psychology is pseudoscience too.

And so psychiatry.

And Asperger is a PSYCHIATRIC diagnosis only - not a medical one, therefore .....by this logic, it means that we are all jokes having a pseudo-scientific label here.

Either you consider all of those as pseudoscience or not, you can't nit-pick.

the jocks I knew in high school fell into two categories of bully- smooth like mitt Romney, and rough like biff in B2TF. very rare was the jock who had any kindness in him.
