Thanks, I guess maybe it's impossible to screw up what's meant to be after all.

It's definitely not impossible, don't be careless like I was.

In a general sense I guess I really meant I should relax more about such an intense connection where there previously was none. I could be wrong but it also seems rdos is saying I might as well because this is just an inextricable part of my nature rather than a factor of divine manipulation.

Right. It is natural for NDs to get spiritual connections (but also very rare), and there is no need to worry about it or do anything special. And ND spiritual connections are not "supernatural" or divine. They are natural and can probably be explained by ordinary physics.

ND = Neurodiverse. I've stopped using Aspie or autistic as it supports disorder thinking and stigmatization of difference. Also, people with autistic traits that fly under the diagnostic radar are included in NDs.

Natural yes, but Einstein disputed the explication. I'm leaning towards anything I can say that's not too scientific; I grew up in labs. It's hard to see how or why I wouldn't have to do something special for her though, so I'm trying to figure out more hints & gestures.

I'm like this largely as a result of being exposed to an abundance of cheesy/sappy love songs from the 1950's-'80s at a young age and foolishly believing that's the way the world truly works! :P

It works that way partially.

Sometimes, you can help yourself make it work that way.

With me it's more a result of being extremely geeky. I guess if not for my literary interests I'd be 100% aromantic. I spend way more time with machines than people & it's clear I need to make this change.

What I'm saying is, basically, is that life is not totally a "grind." One can still have ideals, still have dreams. Some of these dreams might come true. It's not a total dog-eat-dog existence, this life. There's lots of richness in it.

More in Nature than in people. But some in people, too.

I've had some bad times in my life, and some good times.

I've met lousy people, and I've met decent people.

I wouldn't give up on a nice life, if I were you. It's possible.

Don't just become a cynical old goat, and sit on the couch and complain about the government all the time.

Point taken. This is why I'm glad we stay glued to WP as much as we do. I think the difficulties around this subject arise from cognitive dissonance imposed by online relationships these days. I'm trying to get our heads out of our apps. Maybe I can accomplish that by just saying how much she's done so for me.

This is so confuseing nowdays with all these therms for gender and sex. But isnt demisexual considered normal the oldschool ways?! Isnt it how it should be?! I mean now days with this hook up society i duno anymore i given up on love its to complicated lol.

I would consider myself as a romantic, not that you think the fairy tale kinda stuff i know it doesnt exsist. I cant feel sexually attracted to a person if i do not feel an emotional bond or his Inner personality is egoistic and careless. So iam i demisexual just because im not a hooker?

The more I think about it, clearly I would be considered more normal in past decades, that's just outwardly though. I'd say you're probably closer to sapiosexual, I am too, just with a lot of shyness on top. I have a good feeling about all this even though the anxiety's a killer. Every time I think I've given up she shows up within about a month & is followed by good times. On top of that she's sharp, extremely.
