Yeah I have to agree with this. I'm not at all high maintenance but I would not be happy if my SO took me to get a donut for dinner. (Although I would speak up immediately and suggest we either go somewhere else or I will get my own dinner)

While I agree donut != dinner, I could see how it could be a fun/funny one time thing where you're driving by KK and like, aaaah, f**k it, we're adults and can eat w/e the F we want! Let's have donuts for dinner. Maybe that's more how this came about vs. actual meal planning of donuts for dinner..

She didn't even have to buy her own stuff. I would have bought her other food from another restaurant. The problem was that she didn't tell me she wanted other food. Later she was mad that I didn't know.
I told her that if she wants me to get her something else, she has to ask me. If she wants anything from me, she has to ask me. She doesn't ask for stuff, she expects me to be a mind reader.
Later we walked past a supermarket and she said asked if she could go in to buy some meat. I said "Sure, why not." Then she walks past it and says it's my fault she couldn't go into the supermarket.
Then we go into another supermarket but we got into an argument so she abandoned her groceries unpaid for at the checkout.
Uh, a donut is not dinner. She's right to expect you to know that.
The supermarket thing is just her being female, though.

Well, it sounds like you both have a serious problem with communication.
it sounds to me like she wanted the donut as a snack or maybe she was going to save it for later after dinner.
But dinner didn't happen. And as has been mentioned, donuts are not dinner food. They're snacks or dessert.
What you could have offered was to go to another restaurant. When one is closed, try to find another.
But she's at fault as well. She could have spoken up. As a woman, when we say "anything's fine" by then either we're already peeved at you and we just don't want confrontation, or we really do mean "anything is fine" but we MEAN we want you to take the lead and make a decision.
It sounds like you're dating someone who is very passive, which is bad if you have a communications disorder. You may need to tell her she needs to speak up more.
