Was my gf embarrassing me or am I being too sensitive?

Well I talked to my friend about who has hung out with me and my gf a lot and made two points about it. After I told him that my gf appeared irritated by me he said from my description of it, that sounds like she wasn't actually critiquing the script, but using that as an excuse to disrespect me. That's what he said anyway.
He also said that whenever he hangs out with me and her, that he noticed that she seems irritated a lot by things I say, that she will often sigh a lot, and it comes off as negative he said. He says she is not surprised that she went off on a tangent and disrespected, cause he said from his point of view, it was building up in her overtime from being irritated by me overtime he said. He said he didn't want to say anything bad about her, but thought this would happen eventually he said though.
Well having a discussion with her is probably a good idea...maybe she will be receptive. But you didn't mention before that she irritatedly sighs all the time at what you say. I thought could be maybe she just isn't aware what kind of things should remain more private...but with the sighing like that kind of makes it seem like she is aware what she's doing is rude and its on purpose.
I mean if she's endlessly irritated with you...maybe it would be best for both of you if you do end things with her. That kind of behavior on her end is toxic, and it will only wear you out. That said if you do still care about her and want to remain in a relationship then certainly try to discuss with her that you feel disrespected and see if she is willing to try and do better or not. But if she's sighing a lot often enough your friend notices her doing it a lot, that is not a good sign.

If it was just every once in a while I could see it, but if its enough even your friend thinks its excessive and it makes her come off pretty negative...then it kinda makes it seem more like its in a 'I'm not impressed, you always say such stupid things' kind of way. Especially with the time she apparently rather abrasively criticized something you wrote that she read and didn't like. Simply saying she didn't care for it would have been sufficient but going on and on about it to your friend Amanda while you're sitting right there about how much she hated it and can't stand it certainly seems more intended to be belittling.
And how are things when its just you and her, like do you guys hang out together at home(or each others houses if your not living together) and enjoy each others company. Or are things like more tense?

That is almost certainly true. She may not like the script either but that's not the reason why she was rude. She wouldn't have an emotional reaction to a script if the topic you're currently talking about has absolutely nothing to do with it. Whatever is bothering her, she's not handling it in a particularly mature way.
Someone being constantly irritated with their partner is a bad sign for the relationship - especially if they're handling it in an immature way. You definitely have a lot to discuss with her once she comes back.
If you still want to salvage the relationship or at least find out if it can be improved, you might also try to find out if your friend's impression is right and, if so, what it is that irritates her. Her irritation may or may not be justified (her reaction to the irritation isn't either way) and the thing she is irritated about may or may not be something you can change or that is reasonable to change. But you could asses and, if applicable, adjust the situation better if you knew.
Of course you still need to address the things that bother you about her behavior, but if she has complaints of her own and can address them in a halfway mature way you also need to listen.
Under the assumption that your friend's interpretation of her sighing is right; does she do it when you're alone also and does she do it around all of your friends or just some?
If your friend's interpretation of the sighing as something negative is right, it'd still not be polite behavior, but it could be primarily disrespecting you or primarily expressing boredom about the situation.
Well my gf because of this, and because I brought this up to her, said we should take a break. A couple of days later now, it seems that things are going good with me and my gf, a couple of days ago, after making up, we made a plan for valentines day. I told her I agreed to do a video shoot on Friday, valentines day, cause she said before that we should take a break and so I thought well if we should take a break than I will agree to do this shoot on friday if I have nothing to do, since I was asked to a shoot.
So I said yes. Then after she changed her mind about taking a break and wants to make up and work things out, we both agreed to do something for valentines, but I told her that I agreed to a shoot after she said let's take a break for a while. I said is it okay if we do our valentines on Saturday in stead, but I also told her I could cancel the shoot and get out of it, for our valentines, and she said no it's okay. She said no, let's do Saturday cause if we go out to dinner, we won't have to wait as long for a table compared to valentine's day. I was going to take her out to dinner and a movie, and with a present of some chocolate assortments I bought.
So today, two days later, she asked me what time my shoot it is going to be finished at, and I said 8, but might be till 8:10 cause of clean up. She then asked well why didn't we do our valentines today since 8 is not late. I told her, well the time it would take for me to get back, put my equipment at her place for the night, and change, it would be around 8:30-8:40, and so I thought maybe she wouldn't want to wait that long for dinner, and then a movie after, and I kinda thought it was late too, so I told her I was shooting that night. But could get out of it if she wanted to do that night. But she took my Saturday suggestion instead. But now she is asking why didn't I tell her I was done by 8 around on Friday, two days ago, when we talked about it... I said it just seemed late but I offered to cancel if she wanted, and we both agreed to Saturday instead.
But after I told her this is why it didn't occur to me to tell her I was done at 8, she is now saying that on Saturday, my friend, the same friend from before, invited her to an event and she is going to that instead now. I didn't get to talk to her more cause she is at work, and I will be off to the shoot, so I won't find out more till later, but is this strange, that all of a sudden she is now going to an event with my friend, who invited her on Saturday, when we agreed to do valentines day? If she wants to go to my friends event, instead, I guess I won't let it bother me, but as long as it sounds like things are good with her between us, or no?
But we decide to do our valentine's day, the next day, today.
because me and my gf had this falling out, I wasn't sure what was going to happen for valentines day so I decided to concentrate on the shoot I had. Me and her then made up and I agreed to take her to dinner today, the day after valentine's day, as well as give her the chocolate and candy present I had for her before. But because of the falling out, I wasn't in valentines day mode fully, and I totally forgot to her a card along with the dinner and previous present. Now she is really hurt that I didn't and cancelled the rest of of the day with me and wanted to be alone.
I talked about it with a friend of mine and he said to make up by ordering her flowers and having them delivered to her, but is it worth it, or did I made a huge error and I should really fix it?
Granted we are only hearing your side of it, but it certainly sounds like some seriously mixed signals.
What you do depends on what you want. If you want to keep working on this relationship, by all means, send the flowers. You don't have to be in the wrong to make the first move.
OTOH, is this what you want in a relationship? Only you know that.

So you made plans with her for Saturday, she backed out of those plans to go to something with your guy's mutual friend and then is angry that you forgot to bring flowers and chocolates for the valentines dinner you proposed that she put off? I mean maybe she just has issues with consistency. Just seems weird she thinks its fine to blow off plans you and her made to go off and do something with another friend but then gets mad at you because you forget to bring chocolates to a dinner after she cancelled on you and thus you had to reschedule?
Also is it that friend 'amanda' that she is hanging out with...I mean at this point I am not even sure this amanda is your friend if she never has anything to say or any objections about your girlfriend essentially wanting to always hang out with her while rejecting you, the one who is supposed to be her boyfriend. Like I feel like a good friend to you might mention to her that perhaps she should you know spend a bit more one on one time with you rather than hanging out with her all the time to the point of neglecting you.
I guess I am just curious what sort of friend this amanda is to you, if she's the one your girlfriend is cancelling plans with you to go hang out with. Just starting to think ole amanda may not really be your friend.

Sweety your gf seems to enjoy controlling and manipulating you. These people are called "crazy makers" and want to be the centre of attention at all times. You took great effort to give her a great Valentines on Saturday, she keeps changing her plans and then puts you in the wrong, don't you see that? She will find fault with everything that you will do, no matter what you do, and twist it around to make you seem in the wrong. As far as I can see any relationship with her is going to erode your self- confidence and stability. That is of course based on what you have written. She is playing around with your feelings with great disrespect IMHO. There is not one stable response from her in any of your posts just her confusing you, belittling you, invalidating and not appreciating you, she also plays you against other people, be it Amanda or your "friend". I don't care how beautiful she may be, the girl is bad news for you.

Well yes Amanda is the one who asked her to hang out for Saturday, but then canceled in order to spend the day with me, like originally, planned, but then she cancelled on me once I didn't have a card for her. I didn't forget to bring flowers or chocolates. Just a card.
But I don't think Amanda meant anything bad from inviting my gf out. Perhaps it was a girls night out or something?
The more you reveal about her the more unreasonable she seems.
You making plans on Valentines day while your girlfriend decided to take a break from the relationship was a reasonable decision. You gave her the choice to still do Valentines day on Friday and she declined. It may have been because you didn't give her every detail of information, but you gave her every detail of information you thought would be relevant and it was a reasonable assumption. Plus, if you're too tired to go on a date with her after the shooting, that's a valid reason to exclude that option and let her choose between you canceling the shooting and postponing Valentines day to the next day. She may have made the choice she thought she was supposed to make when she agreed to postpone but may not have been really happy with it and may then have been (perhaps subconsciously) looking for any reason to blame it on you.
Your girlfriend, however, either made plans with Amanda before you suggested Saturday and didn't tell you. In that case she may have intended to cancel her plans with Amanda or forgot while agreeing on Saturday. Or she made plans with Amanda after she agreed to do Valentines day on Saturday with you. Either way she knew or could have known about the conflicting schedules when she made these plans. Now, this wouldn't necessarily be a problem if she handled it in a mature way and had no underlying motives. If she told you in a mature way and asked you if you were fine with rescheduling, it's not necessarily an issue. If she decided to turn the conflicting schedules into a problem when she found out about when your shooting ended, that's an immature way of hers to 'get back' at you even though you didn't do anything wrong. Perhaps she was - at least subconsciously - waiting for you to give her anything she could turn into a problem.
She's definitely overreacting about the card. It seems like she has a tendency to turn molehills into mountains. If that's just a tendency of hers when it comes to special days, it may be something you can put up with, but if it's a constant thing, expecting absolute perfection of you isn't healthy. Forgetting about one small thing doesn't need to be such a drama.
Whether you send her flowers, even though she did more wrongs than you, is up to you, but overall she has some maturing to do.

Like I am getting the impression either your girlfriend and amanda have something going on, or your girlfriend is simply not interested in you but is just taking advantage of having a new friend through meeting you, but is not so much concerned with establishing a LTR with you just so long as they can keep amanda as a friend.
So today, two days later, she asked me what time my shoot it is going to be finished at, and I said 8, but might be till 8:10 cause of clean up. Well I mean as far as I can tell you and your gf have been together long enough that Amanda would have known you two are in a relationship. So does seem kind of messed up that you made plans with your girlfriend but then along comes amanda to make alternate plans with your GF so your GF cancels on you to go out with amanda basically? I mean I am really sorry to suggest this but jsut seems her behaviour is suggesting she does not give a damn about you. I mean seems kind of a pattern anytime you plan something special for you and her she either cancels or post pones it. THen this supposed friend amanda is always there being the one to take your Gf out on valentines day without you...like in what way is amanda a friend to you, does she even talk to you or just your GF?
I mean the way she keeps blowing you off to go hang with amanda, kinda makes me wonder if maybe she ....err prefers girls and just doesn't want to say so. Like just seems weird she keeps cancelling plans with you to hang out with amanda when you are her boyfriend that she should at least want to spend some time with.

Uhh I hate to say it but just kinda sounds like she is giving you the run around. Like doing just enough to keep you into her but not really being a decent girlfriend. I mean that just sounds like gaslighting, she cancels plans on you and then acts like you're the weird crazy one for forgetting to bring a card on the rescheduled dinner due to her cancelling initially. I know if you feel you love someone it may be hard to look objectively, but a lot of stuff you have posted kind of implies your gf is abusing you mentally. LIke I get the impression you basically have to walk on egg-shells and if you make one wrong move she freaks the hell out. I mean you don't have to stay with her if she acts like that, its abuse straight up. Like she acts unreasonable and then blames you for being bothered about it like what the hell.
You planned a valentines dinner she agreed to and then she cancelled to go out with your friend amanda, and then guilt trips you because you din't remember to bring her selfish ass a card on the rescheduled date that was only rescheduled because she cancelled on you to go out with amanda. Like my god dude stop letting these two take advantage of you quit just passing it off as ok behavior, because it sounds like you're being treated pretty shittily by this so called 'girlfriend.' as well as the supposed friend amanda. Like if amanda is your friend why would she have agreed to have your gf go hang out with her and just ignore you the whole day? Seems kind of messed up for a friend of yours to hang out with your girlfriend all day on valentines day and be ok with them ignoring their S.O unless they also have a problem with said S.O...I mean is there any reason Amanda would have a problem with you?

Well she broke up with me and one of the big things that has been bothering her it turned out is that I didn't move in with her back when she asked me too. I guess I didn't feel quite ready at this time. But she said I have a problem with that, not being ready for certain things, hence why it's taking me long to get the feature film made as I will delay certain parts of it. Perhaps she has a point. I feel like she will take me back if I grow a pair and move in, but is that a good solution to make the relationship work?
