Someone who won’t mind taking care of any big bug that might get into the house. This is very high up on my list of priorities.

Something that concerns me is that I tend to be more inclined to run if a lady is attracted to me, even though I maybe very attracted to her. The problem is I would love to go on a date in many cases but am sometimes too nurvous to do so. So maybe the lady has to make sure I don't run if she wants to date me. Umm. A difficult one! Though some I may run from because they seem a bit too forward... Umm. A dificult one!

I've been nervous but that was cuz I was afraid I'd screw things up & she'd run away 1ce she gotten to know me. Women had to be forward with me because I'm too straightforward & direct to get flirting or that playing hard-to-get cr@p. It's one of the reasons I'm much better off in a realtionship with another Aspie.

Someone who is physically attractive (I know that sounds shallow but it's important to me).

Someone who loves animals (particularly cats). Ideally, it would be a man who has grown up with animals all his life, as I have, and has learned to be responsible about taking care of them.

Nice

-minimal or non-drinker / non-smoker / no drug abuse (meds prescribed by a professional for a medical or psychological condition are obviously exempted)
-fine with taking things slowly at first
-has similar interests to me
-is at least somewhat musically competent & can sing or play an instrument
-understands when I need time to myself
-not uptight
-easy to make conversation with
-doesn't need to wear a huge amount of make-up to think she's pretty (imo most women are more beautiful with minimal/no make-up anyway)
-will accept me for who I am
-the less religious, the better
-autistic!

My son's new girlfriend is also an Aspie and they've agreed to talk EVERYTHING out, never holding back. For him I think that has been a huge deal maker.

That and the fact she loves all the same geeky activities that he does.

I think he's been really lucky. Hope it sticks.

One deal breaker and it's all over

The funny thing I've observed is that a lot of things people think would be deal breakers, stop being deal breakers when they find the "right" person. Depends on what the deal breaker is.
