Half of the humanity’s issues today is due to overpopulation.

I recall Darwin mentioned once in his famous book that any species that has no struggle of existence (breeding and breeding with nothing slowing their numbers) would eventually dominate the planet; even the elephant which is considered the slowest breeder.
Humans are continuing to reproduce unhindered; we seriously need to slow down.

There is never a species that grows endlessly without struggle. If they have no other problem besides overpopulation, then that shall become the source of their struggle.

No population ever grows beyond the available food supply in the long run. We had reached our limit before the green revolution, we will reach our limit again. Nature will balance itself again.

So am I.
Being a nihilist doesn't mean you have to be depressed about the state of the life-system we live in.
It is a choice.
And I actually find it empowering. 8)

Consider that man is the first species on this planet that has the power to avert the next (Asteroid impact) mass extinction event. Someday another large asteroid or comet will target Earth. Millions of species on this planet will go extinct as a result. This fate could be avoided.

So instead of taking a pessimistic perspective that man is destroying the Earth and its lifeforms, perhaps one might take an optimistic viewpoint that man may someday save the planet and the wide diversity of life that it offers.

OK. How about to kill yourself now for saving the nature? :? Of course it could be more helpfull if you kill a bunch of people in your neighbourhood before commiting a suicide for saving the nature ...
Just a joke but why am I this philosophical today? 8O

The water in Rome is extraordinarily tasty. You can drink it almost straight from the fountains. It saved me during 98 degree weather.

Unfortunately they also have very old leaded pipes for transporting the water. Water will leach lead cations from the pipes over time. If the water tasted “sweet”, you likely consumed leaded water. Lead is most dangerous to developing children, as it can cause mental defects.

As for the original question, I never plan on bringing human children into this world. The world would never survive an advanced version of me, as I know what I am capable of under the influence of anger. I do however plan on bringing life to some of my projects, which you could consider “my children”. They will last here much longer than I will.

I wonder why bottled water companies still making plastic bottles; why don’t they use carton box like those used for some juice brands? It has been used for juice since ages yet still insisting on plastic for water. o.O

I would take straight to it. I HATE the taste of plastic so any liquid that is contained in such an item I won't drink it.

As an example of why plastic packaging should be BANNED we used to get ready meal curry in plastic trays and it tasted horrible. When put in a pottery dish and cooked the difference in taste was extremely noticeable.

We are all eating tainted food yet not a thing is being done about it.

I like the philosophy of VHEMT, the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement. I think our 1ce great planet is extremely overpopulated which is causing tons of problems. I never really liked the idea of having kids but alot of that is due to my own various issues. I never liked kids even when I was a kid but at the same time I never really liked adults either even as an adult. I guess I'm kind of misadrophobic partly due to bad experiences with others.
