Glad I am no longer a teen.
I would much rather the 3rd grade approach to dating.

Why cant teens & aduls who are supposed to be more mature, be that direct ?

Imagine the school were to distribute a questionnaire asking all the kids to list all of their classmates they are attracted to. They'd all start dating each other, each with the verified knowledge that the other person was into them, which means they'd all start having sex with each other right away with no need for "courtship".

These games are a time-tested mechanism for promoting chastity.

The guy didn't actually have feelings for me. He did accept my apology. I knew from the beginning that his friend made up stuff about us. I told the guy about it and he agreed with me that it wasn't ok. His friend confronted me and then denied everything. Plus the friend is harassing me as well.

I'm glad you both managed to chat and clear the air. I'm sorry his feelings aren't mutual.

This pest friend of his, can you report him for harassing you? Even if the outcome is nothing, do report him to an authority figure if you're feeling harassed. Would be great if the other guy could have a word with him.

I told my teachers and after doing so, the friend confronted and denied everything. Now he's behind me. He made up even more lies after denying it. The situation is getting out of hand.

What a prick.

Do you have any friends looking out for you? Don't approach this person at all and keep your distance as much as possible.

Anyone on WP with good advice to offer?

^your advice is good.

I would say move on from this, and seek better friends.

The wouldn’t end up well, because I bet 90% of teens would all pick the same 10% hottest teens of the school.

So either they would be doing foursomes/nthsome/orgies; or a lot of broken hearts.

The other guy is with which side?

They may be both jerks.

Another general advice for you: never ever write letters to someone in school. It may be become a trolling/blackmailing material.

I was at the “bottom 10%” of the high school pecking order. Still, I was able to have dates and a relationship.

I, absolutely, refused to allow Social Darwinist principles to dominate my relationships with people back in high school. I didn't succeed all that well----but I wasn't a total failure, either. I didn't give a flying f if I'm short, nerdy, have braces and glasses, and all the rest. I could "make babies" just as well as that 6 foot 3 inch guy getting all the chicks.
