I will put it this way, and let you figure it out: If I was surrounded -- and I mean literally surrounded -- by a dozen or so beautiful women, with each one competing for my attention, I would likely not even notice the "plain Jane" on the other side of the room.

Or, to put it another way: With a selection of the finest Belgian chocolates to choose from, why would anyone even care notice the saltines at the other end of the table?

Being invisible isn't such a bad thing. I heard a tale of a poor shepard who fell into a cave and found a ring that made him invisible. He used invisibility to his advantage by stealthily murdering the king and seducing the queen.

Maybe with everyone making love, they’d realize that he is not necessary and would ditch him entirely to form their own Sapphic community.

That seems to be the most sensible scenario under the given circumstances.

I thought that meant some sort of orgy situation in which everyone would be involved. If there’s one guy, some people would be left out unless they are enjoying each other.

I get the impression it does not really count if a woman a lot older describes you as “handsome” versus how women your own age would rate you.
