Oh, that's who Rachel Stevens is! I actually like her group! I have heard of the band S Club 7 here in America, but they haven't had anything new out in years.

Their signature is probably "Never Had A Dream Come True." Believe it or not, I was actually listening to a radio station in Montreal, and it happened to be French-Canadian. One of the songs they just happened to play was "Never Had A Dream Come True." Even though they were doing their whisper in French, they said the name of that song in English.

Rachel Stevens is pretty by the way.

I do have one question, though. Does she soing lead for S Club 7?

No it is one of the Nazi girls from Big Brother who Bullied Shilpa Shetty who is the Lead singer.

From my experience, if a girl reminds me of someone I like I'm more likely to be attracted to them. It's incredibly shallow, but I guess it's instinctive. That said, since my mid-teens I've found myself attracted to a wider variety of women appearance-wise.

You should be careful not to be too obsessed with certain celebrities, though. I don't think it's a healthy fixation to have.

Hi, everyone. I never had a girlfriend but I've always seem to have an attraction for girls who look like famous pop singer Rachel Stevens

Is this normal with men who have Aspergers to have an obession with one type of girl because I do like her very much and I get nervous sometimes around girls I think do look like her mainly if their, blonde, between 5'1ft - 5'3ft and have a quiet but lovely personality that I can get along with.

I always seem to pick out the features from the girls I talk to and combine them with her looks to see if their perfect for me. For some reason if I see a girl and she looks like her I kinda start think she might have a nice personality to her too. This has happened before when I knew a girl in college who had her looks and when I got to know her she had a personality that I adored and could accept. I seem to do this depending if they look like Rachel Stevens They always have a nice personality thats why I look up to her as an idol for a "perfect girlfriend" if I ever meet someone

Not in my experience, although was you describe sounds like a combination of a fixation and a sense of familiar attraction - because they share similar features it is less disruptive to your sense of order. But to connect personality and appearance is rather foolish in my opinion, as there is no relation between them in my experience. My relationships have covered the gamut in appearance and personality... thankful I kept exploring as I would never have allowed myself to believe that my current relationship would work if I had not.

I am not an aspie, and female, but wanted to ring in that i think everyone has a certain type they like the most, but for most people life doesnt lend itself to only putting that same type in our path as a love interest and we can find love in types that are different than that. But we still always have an affinity for that certain look.

I like shorter men usually, wtih dark hair, but have found in my life i have had crushes on tall blonde men on occasion.

Ancient thread, but I'll reply anyways --

I think obsessing on one type of girl or look isn't usual for Aspies/Autism folks --

I myself seem pretty preoccupied with women who have Chinese ancestry (they don't have to actually be from China, but their family tree must derive from there), to the point where almost everyone I ever dated had that one thing in common.

Go to Pakistan, and you could find a Pakistani woman that looks like Rachel Stevens, the problem is that you would have to convert to Islam.

i am very picky. i often prefer features, rather than a smooth and neutral looking babe-face, i notice eyebrows, nice hairdos, etc.
but more important than anything is sense of humor.
a good sense of humor reveals good intelligence, creativity, attitude etc. it tells a lot.

if a girl makes ME laugh, then i am as good as sold :]

I've had the same basic image of my ideal girl since I was 10. Quiet type, girly, dark(style), slim and physically feminine, aspieish or actually on the spectrum.

I certainly do have interest in girls but I'm very picky. I'd prefer a girl who is on the innocent level(I realize they are very rare). Nevertheless, I get very turned off by obnoxious, self centered, vain or foul mouth girls. I simply want a girl who is both gentle, kind and down to earth. That would be my ideal.
