Hmm...reasons not to fall in love or marry someone with SpongeBob's traits?

So a reverse-engineering of my original post?

He does tend to be destructive which isn't something I neccessarily want in a future husband

But could his destructive traits have something to do with a disability?
I think his destrutive traits could be seen as disability related. Like he's impulsive due to ADHD, he crashes while driving due to anxiety causing him to freak out & perhaps spatial processing problems, he's clumsy due to dyspraxia or some other movement disorder & perhaps spatial processing problems, he's naive due to a developmental disability. Some people online think he has classic autism but those people are probably not very knowledgeable about autism. I think that's possible but if so there is a lot more going on than simply autism.

More likely a sponge has a very primitive nervous system, compared to a starfish or squid.

Spongebob's parents & grandma seem to be pretty normal & mellow.

I'm not sure the cause is relevant, if the trait is unbearable.

Yes, sometimes the cause isn't relevant and sometimes it is. If the trait is tolerable and there's no interest in improving it, then the why is probably not important. Some people are just happier and better off, even if it is frowned upon.

In all honesty, the solution may just be to find somebody who is into cosplaying as that character or who has a similar affinity.

I also believe SpongeBob has a disability but Nickelodeon/Paramount wouldn't dare to actually confirm it at least right now while the show is still running because they have too much to lose so it would have to be after the show ends!

I believe my attraction to fictional characters has something to do with my Autism disability

So yeah it's definitely a coping mechanism for not being married!

I mean think about it:

Why continue to lament about not being married while I can pretend I am married to any fictional character of my choosing?

It's fun to imagine what that would be like...

To Mikurotoro92:

Would you like to marry a man who is into cosplaying SpongeBob, or who is at least a fellow fan of the character in some way?

If so, I would strongly suggest that you seek out some sort of organized SpongeBob fandom, so you can make friends there and hopefully find a compatible potential husband.

I think you have assessed your condition gracefully.

I mean think about it:

It is easier to pretend to be in love with & marry a fictional character instead of having to go through all the steps and hard work of going out to meet people, date them for 6 months to a year then decide to get married!

The problem is, what happens when I outgrow fictional characters and want a REAL romantic relationship?

What I am doing will only work for a little while and it is a quick band-aid fix to a larger problem that must be addressed!

That is what Anita was getting at when she told me to consult a therapist

Do you think you will lose your interest in SpongeBob if/when you do get married?

Not necessarily but the thing is I am already losing interest in SpongeBob SquarePants and that has NOTHING to do with my love life or current relationship status

It's because of the current state of the show and Nickelodeon's obsession with it

However, me getting married would put a stop to my dreams and fantasies of falling in love with fictional characters, including SpongeBob!

In that case, my previous suggestion that you look for someone who shares your interest in SpongeBob is probably NOT a good idea.

Perhaps it would be best if you could tell us what kind of person you hope your future husband would be? Then maybe we can brainstorm about the best ways to maximize your chances of meeting and forming a relationship with such a person?

I have recurring dreams where SpongeBob and I or Mario and I are in his pineapple house (or his secluded library room hehe) or Princess Peach's castle kissing and having sex lol

This just means I need a REAL partner for real sex!

I hope you don't feel guilty about your dreams. You can't control your dreams (unless you choose to spend a lot of time on learning the techniques of lucid dreaming, that is).
